Pizza Inn — Restaurant in Henderson

Visiting family in the area but had a night to ourselves so we decided to drive around and find a place to eat. The train aesthetic was enticing and the parking lot was full so we figured it wouldn't disappoint. Once inside we were greeted by a sign to seat ourselves and sat for a few awkward minutes until a waitress appeared, asked us for drinks and turned to leave. The buffet was obvious but we were curious to other options and the waitress said they can make us a specific pizza if we like, or order subs or wings, otherwise its what's on the bar. We approached the bar to find hot plates for spaghetti or mac and cheese, soup, a generic salad bar, and a row full of unlabeled pizzas. Grabbed a few slices and gave them a try, buffalo chicken was the clear winner. Taco pizza was loaded with wet lettuce that only masked its blandness, and the others were pretty much all variations of a supreme. An egg roll looking item surprised me to be a pepperoni pizza roll that was modestly good, but overall the entire experience was slightly disappointing and I was confused as to how they kept most of the tables full. Unfortunately I filled up on the tiny slices of pizza and didn't get to try much else, including the selection of dessert pizzas which looked as if they may have made up...

The Henderson, NC Pizza Inn used to be a great place to get buffet pizza. But no longer is that the case. They are subject to not be open and when they are open their hours vary from day to day, currently it is 4pm-8pm. But that changes from day to day. Today, we walked in at 7:05pm and the waitress said that they were closing at 7pm tonight, but I could get a pizza to go if I’d like to. I asked her why the website stated they were open until 9:30pm and she stated that corporate controlled the website. She said the best thing to do is call before coming to see if they are open. The pizza buffet is great when you can catch them open, however to avoid disappointment, you may want to just eat somewhere else and skip Pizza Inn altogether so we don’t inconvenience their staff! 05JUN22.

Went back today, 14AUG22, website says “open” sign on door says “closed due to no internet service”. What a joke this place has turned into. Since they can’t take online orders, and apparently have no one smart enough to take phone orders, they can’t serve walk-in customers at all. It’s a shame too, ‘cause this place used to have a thriving business at lunch and dinner. No more reviews from me, ‘cause I won’t...

We have loved Pizza Inn Buffet in Henderson, NC for many years. We went there today and I am not sure what is going on, but it has really gone down hill since the last time we were there. The manager that has been there for years, was not there and it is evident that he is the one that holds it together. The staff in the kitchen was loud and playing around. Very disrespectful for the ones eating in the restaurant. There was hardly anything on the buffet The lettuce for the salad was brown and our waiter told us that is all they had. I ordered a special pizza to be brought to the table, and it was good, but I paid buffet price for a small pizza and I did not eat the lettuce for the salad, Cucumbers were out and had to ask for them. There was only 1 other table in there when we arrice (and we were the only table when we left), so not sure what the folks in the back were doing. Our waiter was trying to do everything out front, including getting me cucumbers. There was something else out on the salad bar, but I didn't eat that, so I didn't ask for it. We paid about $90 for 6 people and a take out. Not worth it and not sure that I will be going back...
