Mama Maxie's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Henderson

Was going to order from Metro Pizza tonight but then found out they wanted to charge me $10 for delivery fee; so decided to give this place very close to my house a try (went to pick up the pies myself).

My family and I are from NY and NJ so our standard for good pizza is extremely high. Please keep that in mind.

We ordered a veggie (because we really felt like vegetables tonight - had steak the night before) and a hawaiian (one of our favorites - I know it's not very new yorker). The crusts were a little too crunchy for my taste as I prefer more doughy but the wife liked them as she prefers the crunchier variety. This place is definitely more new yorker than the standard pizzas you find in the Las Vegas area.

My family and I agreed that the veggie one could've been seasoned a bit more (but we did ask for no black olives so perhaps the "taste" was just removed due to our special request). We THINK the veggie could've used more cheese and/or more sauce. Also the veggie was significantly crunchier than the hawaiian so perhaps there is a slight consistency optimizational opportunity there.

With all that said, we will be back next time we want a new yorker-ish pizza and are on a time crunch (pun intended). Thank...

ordered pizza from this place which is literally like 5 minutes away which i did not know, I taught i had ordered from their main site but turned out to be a web site called slice, but long story short pizza took almost half hour after the delivery lady picked it up and i know because i was tracking it and when the pizza delivery person arrived she was struggling to get off the car because she was holding her phone with one hand and trying to get the pizza out with the other single handling the pizza the hole time she came up the driveway to my door she never let go of the phone and the only time she looked at me was to ask me to pull the pizza out the hot bag she had it in and still holding the phone to her ear on a personal call never said thanks or anything just turned around and left ,when i got the pizzas where cold and small for an extra large paper thin also they forgot to put cheese on on of my pizza, not worth the 50 dollars i paid not buying from here again or ordering trough slice if i could i would take the tip i gave...

We are from Brooklyn & moved to Vegas around this time last year. This entire time, we have been trying to find a good pizza spot that reminds us of home. AND WE FOUND IT. Pizza? BUSSIN! Wings? BUSSIN! Garlic Knots? BUSSIN! NYC style cheesecake? BUSSIN! They gave us a free cannoli too & the free cannoli? BUSSIN. They even sale pizza by the slice like NYC. They have little retro machines to play while you wait for your pizza. There’s a little dine in area & theres plenty of parking out front. Customer service is great too. & they give you your pizza pretty quickly. We found this place COMPLETELY coincidentally. We only stopped to get some snacks from 7/11 & saw them & decided to go for the two slices with a drink deal to give it a try. I have to say, IT WAS NOT A DISAPPOINTMENT. Try them out.
