Went there twice within the last 2 days. Underwhelming both times unfortunately. Yesterday 3/20/23, I ordered the rice curry with chicken katsu. It was meh, I let my wife try it and she agreed. The curry flavor and consistency weren’t quite right. The chicken was slightly off to. I don’t know how to describe it, but it seemed like the chicken was already pre packaged or something and then fried. For comparison, try out Zen Curry on Spring Mountain. It is the BEST Japanese curry you will find. I actually just dined there a couple days ago. The quality/flavor of the curry is night and day, and the Chicken katsu tasted better and you can tell it was hand breaded. So when compared to Zen Curry, Anime Boba Cafe’s rice curry fell flat on its face.
I always give places multiple chances tho because I know different dishes may change your mind. So I went back today 3/21/23 and ordered the beef bowl. It was worse than the rice curry. I would give it a 1 star. Rice was way too mushy, and the beef itself was flavorless. Look how bland it looks in the picture I attached. It was not satisfying at all.
I work a couple mins down the road from this location, but live close to spring mountain area, so I’m spoiled with so many fantastic Asian restaurants. So eating these two dishes was a huge let down. I was excited too because it’s literally just like a 4 min drive from me. MAYBE I’ll try one more time for the teriyaki chicken?
I don’t see myself returning tho realistically, maybe if I just want something different I try the rice curry with chicken katsu one more time?? Idk.
Oh, I also got my wife a Thai tea, and she said it was also a bit off and not as good as the other places she goes. She said she definitely won’t order the boba from there again either.
Overall. Pretty disappointed. I was kind of interested in trying one of their smoothies and frappacinos. I’m sure they’re good. Just held off on them for now cuz I’m on a diet and those drinks add a lot of calories haha.
But seriously, if you want the highest quality Japanese curry in Vegas, you HAVE to go to Zen Curry on Spring Mountain. It is...
Read moreI've never had an issue with this place until today. It seems this place doesn't honor their own stamp system and sadly I was scammed. I came with a stamp card fully stamped and was ready to redeem my free boba and purchase another. When I gave the young lady my stamp card and my debit card she charged me in full for both drinks. She handed me back my debit card, my full stamp card, and another stamp card with one stamp, not even acknowledging the free boba. Her excuse was that my full card wasn't full and that she filled it with the last one and added the next star onto the next card. I proceeded to ask then why I was charged fully... she seemed to be extremely confused. I explained that even if my card wasn't full, ordering the two drinks, one should've been free since I was "missing one" stamp. Another young lady just comes up to the window and tells me my card wasn't full they put the stars on a new card and free bobas are only redeemed on my next visit, so I cannot redeem my free boba until I come again. But this was my next visit, my card was already full? There's absolutely nothing clarifying on the card that it's only to be redeemed on the next visit and cannot be combined with another purchase? I was told the previous visit my next boba would be free and now I'm being told it's not redeemable until my next visit, again? It just sounds like a scam, there's nothing free to be redeemed. Don't trust their stamp system cause the teenagers they have working don't even understand how it works either. They make up the rules as they go. Extremely unprofessional. I couldn't care less about a free boba but now it just seems like I'm going through an endless cycle of "redeem on your next visit" and I'm not for it. Not that my money matters but they lost me...
Read moreThank you for the stellar customer service and ease of ordering and being the first Boba place to have a drive thru in the Whitney Ranch area! I ordered a mango fruit smoothie with the classic Boba, teriyaki chicken bowl combo and the fried chicken Karrage through the drive thru on 8/9/21 around 2-230pm - sadly, I was disappointed in the taste of the overall quality of my Boba drink that I was excited to try- it may have been a new employee that made it incorrectly but the smoothie was still very icy that I could actually chew on the ice that was not blended well enough and the mango was NOT sweet but tangy - I would like to see this new business do well in our community so my advice to the owner would be to make sure the new staff is trained well enough to make sure that the smoothies come out smooth and maybe add some sweeter mango fruit syrup in addition if possible? I had also originally requested the Honeydew melon flavor but they ran out of stock of the most popular / original boba flavor so i would advise to stock up on that flavor also my boyfriend got the food but was disappointed that the chicken was chicken breast and not thigh which made the quality of the food dry - if any way possible could the food be made with chicken thighs/ parts? Once again, thank you for your stellar service and best wishes for success in your new...
