I really wanted to like Ruby’s Shake Shop, and to be fair, there are a few positives worth noting. The location has free parking, which is always a bonus, and the shop sits in a nice spot with pleasant scenery around it. Their shakes are actually fantastic — lots of creative options, rich flavors, and easily the highlight of the whole experience. The front-line staff were also very kind and friendly, even if they seemed a bit inexperienced. They genuinely tried to give good service, and I appreciated their effort.
Unfortunately, everything beyond that was deeply disappointing. The management is where this place completely falls apart. Rachel, the manager, was unprofessional and created an uncomfortable environment not just for customers but, more concerningly, for her own staff. It was very clear there was favoritism at play with certain employees, while others were left to struggle without proper support. It left me feeling uneasy to watch.
Even worse was the state of the back house. It was shockingly dirty — I actually saw food splattered on the walls, including what looked like chili stains overlooking into the kitchen. It didn’t look like there were any proper food safety standards being followed, and that’s unacceptable for a place serving fresh items daily.
To summarize: great shakes, kind staff doing their best, free parking, and nice surroundings — but all of that is overshadowed by poor management and serious cleanliness concerns. Until Ruby’s Shake Shop fixes its leadership and food safety issues, I wouldn’t...
Read moreWe were at Ruby's at approximately 12:20 Friday. I'm not sure but it seemed to have only been open a day or two. I say this to be fair. We ordered the bacon cheese burger. It was generous in size and the lettuce was crisp, as was the bacon. The burger just seemed off. We both felt awful the remainder of the day. The burger was salty and the cheddar was not complimentary to the burger. The restaurant was clean. The staff was obviously new and inexperienced. Frankly, I worry about the restaurant's future as there were more employees than there were available chairs. All of them were talking with each other so much and so loudly that they were the source of all the noise in the restaurant. Our lunch was first served to the wrong table but no one touched it so I accepted. Actually, they served it to the wrong same wrong table twice, very odd, staff was obviously confused and not focused. Bottom line, I would suggest that you not expect much if you want to give them a try. But with so many fine choices within a short walk I will likely not return. It is VERY expensive for a fast food restaurant. For two burgers (with bacon and cheddar cheese) plus one serve yourself coke and a milkshake, NO FRIES or anything else, it cost over $30! If this is a franchise I think the owners may have some problems in the...
Read moreI JUST experienced my first Ruby Shake Shack experience and let me tell you.... This place was fantastic!
We ordered:
1: Bacon Cheeseburger 2: Chicken tender basket 3: tater tots 4: pumpkin spice shake
1: Bacon cheeseburger was dynamite,9.2/10! It was a big patty, bacon was crispy how I like it, the avocado on there was fresh and the cheese was CHEESING! LOVED IT! Probably my new favorite burger place in Las Vegas. It's beating Farmers and Habit. Definitely better than IN and out!
2: Chicken tenders were Bussin! 10/10They looked super breaded, but they actually weren't when you ate them. Flavor was really good, texture was incredible and they were juicy on the inside. Much better than Canes and Chic Fill A.
The fries that came with them were basic, no added flavor and if you don't dip them in some type of sauce.. They're not worth eating by themselves in my opinion .
3: Tater tots were perfectly cooked however they lacked flavor. 7/10 They could have at least put some salt on them.
4: Pumpkin Spice shake: 25/10. Probably the freshest purest tasting milkshake I've ever had. Flavor was FLAVORING! The presentation of it was beautiful as well. I wish I took pictures.
PS my fiance said their house sauce was better than Canes sauce. I didn't try it because I only eat BBQ...
