Me Gusta Tacos — Restaurant in Henderson

Upon walking through the door, it smelled clean and looked it too. We were delighted to know the 3 taco deal allowed you to mix and match. My boyfriend tried the Carnitas, Pork Belly, and the Kalbi. I tried the Carnitas as well as the Barbacoa and Fish. Along with our meal we had a side of the rice and their tots. We washed it all down with the Hibiscus Aqua Fresca. I'm giving it 3 stars because it was only okay. I live near Summerlin and they're located in Henderson so it's a bit of a trek to eat. Even if I was in the neighborhood, I don't believe I would come back. The fish taco was awful. Something with the taste. I love seafood and it just didn't taste right. The Carnitas were bland and watery. My boyfriend's pork belly was also bland. I will only sing songs for their Barbacoa and my boyfriend recommends the Kalbi. The tots were too plain. It came with cheese and cream. The rice was also plain, I prefer Roberto's rice. Did I mention our meal cost over $40 with tip? The food was mediocre and the price was too much for what you get. Forgot to add a refill is $2.50+Tax. I would not go here by choice again. Though the staff was nice. I had to cover most of my food with the Verde sauce to make it better. Holy Cow! My wife and I went here for the first time last night, 4/28/17, and let me tell you... As soon as we walked in the door this place was comfortable and quaint, the gentleman behind the counter was extremely inviting, courteous, and was genuinely nice. This has by far been the best fusion and non traditional tacos and burritos my wife and I have ever had... EVER! And we have tried several in different cities. Tacos and burrito meat tasted and smelled fresh and delicious. And that Habanero sauce, don't even get me started. My wife had the barbacoa California Burrito, I had tacos, and we shared some tots, and of course I had a bite of her burrito. I don't know how you guys make that barbacoa, but damn son, my own mom has never made barbacoa that good (she's Mexican and makes it all the time!). The Korean Kalbi, Carnitas, and Pork Belly Bahn Mi...OOOOF! The flavors just dance and mingle, and the habanero sauce makes them pop! This is a great little spot for a quick bit of delicious Asian-Mexican fusion food while you're shopping the Plaza. My dish was quickly made and compacted into small containers for easy handling whether you are dining-in or eating on-the-go. I devoured my set of carnita, carne asada and fish street style tacos and washed it all back with a pint of Modelo Especial. I was pleased they served Modelo, but hope they expand their selection of beers. The dining area has a bright white, spartan interior reminicent of modern suburban cafes and was emaculately clean which for me allowed my senses to solely focus on my food. The restaurant's windows provide a nice view of the plaza square if you like people watching while dining. And even though this establishment does not provide a restroom for its customers, it is situated right next to the Plaza's public restooms entryway which makes for a relieving convenience.
