I have lived in this valley for 15 years and despite being such a fan of Greek food especially gyros, I hadn't heard of Tony's Gyros until recently when I saw it was a 2025 Best of Las Vegas nominee. I decided to try it yesterday, and after my dine-in experience all I can say is that while the section of Henderson where I live has a few Greek restaurants nearby, from now on I'm only going to Tony's if I want Greek!
Food: Simply amazing. I ordered the basic gyro and fries combo. I can say, unequivocally, that Tony's has the BEST gyro that I've ever tasted. I can only remember thinking "WOW" with every bite. Sometimes with gyros, it can be greasier or more oily than you'd expect, or the meat can be dry. But this one was perfect all around and had none of those issues. Not to be outdone were the fries, which they seemed to put the same effort into as they did for the gyro. The seasoning, the crispness, and the taste: all amazing. So now if I want a burger and fries, even though I'd have to look elsewhere for the burger I still wouldn't mind going out of my way just to get Tony fries since anything else is a downgrade!
Service: Most important thing is Tony was friendly not just to me but to the other customers as well. He treated me like royalty, giving me sufficient time to look at the menu, answering any questions I had, and giving me an update on my food while I waited even though I didn't wait long....it also didn't hurt that the food would still have been well worth the wait even if I waited any longer! He also brought the food to my table himself. Maybe I don't dine in much, but I rarely see someone bring food to the table unless they're an actual server. Tony is the owner and took it upon himself to ensure I was taken care of, and he provided the same service with other customers who ordered to-go.
Atmosphere: There isn't much space to dine in with only a couple tables, probably because customers tend to order to-go. But the dining experience was still pleasant as Tony ensured things ran smoothly in both the kitchen and front of the house. The only noise you'd hear is him and his staff communicating as they prepare the food. So you'd have no problems with noise if you needed to talk on the phone, concentrate on homework, etc.
This is the first Google review that I've posted in a very long time. I felt an obligation to post one for Tony's Gyros because my all-around experience as a diner was overwhelmingly positive and this restaurant should be rewarded for it. Thank you, Tony and staff. I will...
Read moreI recently tried Tonyâs Gyros Greek Cuisine for the first time, and I was really impressed! I love Mediterranean food, but I hadnât heard about this place until recently. I decided to try their chicken gyro plate instead of a sandwich so I could build my own. Everything tasted incredibly fresh â the Greek salad was crisp (no wilted or old lettuce here), and the yogurt cucumber dressing was delicious. I also loved the soft pita bread they give you to make your own wrap.
I added the seasoned fries since the rice wasnât ready, and honestly, Iâm glad I did â they were hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned, not sitting under a heat lamp. The chicken was tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. You could tell the food was made to order.
The man who took my order was great â Iâm not sure if he was the owner or manager, but he definitely acted like someone who cares about the business. He explained the menu since it was my first time there and even accommodated a change I made after ordering without any hesitation. Friendly, helpful, and professional the entire time.
Overall, everything was fresh, tasty, and made with care. Iâll...
Read moreAN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. I live in the community and visited this place a couple times because it's close to home. It's pricey, more than the other Greek places in the area and I had a horrible experience. I ordered a medium Greek salad which I've ordered before. The salad was 9.99. I added some chicken (5 small pieces) and some pickled turnips. Suddenly it was now 19.50.đł But I'm starving so I pay. I get my salad and the bag is awful light but it's cold so I head home. Get home only to see that they have shoved the salad in a hotdog like container. Not at all the size of a medium. They either ran out of the original containers or they are downsizing and upcharging. Im going with the later. This was a disgrace, soggy, cold chicken and barely any turnips that i got charged 5 extra dollars for. Additionally , the cook is dripping sweat all-over the food while it is cooking. All of these things, a huge turn off and unsanitary. I will never return or suggest this place. How tacky to take advantage of the community with over inflated prices and subpar food. Stephanos is...
