A lovely quaint Southern Italy family friendly restaurant. The most absolute best menu item in my opinion, is the pizza. Hands down the best Chicago style pizza with homemade dough and sauce. The menu didn't offer an ingredient description of each item and it was my mistake to not ask prior to ordering. We were so excited to try WSP for the first time, neither of us thought to inquire about our food allergies. I ordered $80 worth of food just to try, which was to my demise because the spaghetti, Lasagna and meatballs are all made with pork sausage, which my spouse is allergic to (which cut down her choices to try.) The spaghetti is authentic not too runny, not to thick. It is heavily peppered (black pepper) with a slight zing of vinegar which I attribute to the pork sausage, possibly. The Lasagna was an absolute no in my opinion. It was so sour I thought perhaps the pork had gone bad, it was overly vinegar-y and just not ok. The meatballs were delicious! Even with the pork, they were perfectly portioned, not too dry, not too wet. I also ordered the chicken Parmigian which was very good! Real chicken breast, moist and breaded but not in a thick coat, perfect with their homemade sauce. The garlic bread was ordinary. It reminded me of garlic bread from the grocery store, nothing to really brag about. What really stood out to me was the owner Jan and server Linda. They were both so kind and welcoming. They made sure to show us our order prior to leaving, they let us sit while the food was being cooked and packaged to go. They have several winning awards, the restaurant is clean and Jan seems to be really active and supportive on the water street district community. Linda gave us helpful coupons for future visits and even though she was wearing a mask, I could see she was happy to help us. We will definitely be returning to Water Street Pizzeria, but next time we will make sure to ask for utensils and plates to go, we thought it would be included in our to go bags being every other patron was asked if...
Read moreI used to lave this place when I first found it, but the last couple of times I've been here, for pizza, I've been disappointed and the last time was absolutely horrible. They brag a "Chicago style pizza". Not so. At least not anymore. The last time I got pizza was the afternoon of the superbowl. It was a simple cheese and sausage pizza and mozzarella sticks which aren't even shown on their menu online. The mozzarella sticks where decent which I don't know if they're fresh made or box. I'm betting box. The pizza was almost inedible. First of all there was barely any sausage. If you can't afford to put on a good amount of sausage, then raise the price. That's better than ordering a C&S pizza and it coming out as 99% cheese. The sausages that were on the pizza ,all 10 of them, where so tiny I didn't even recognize them as sausage. Next, the entire pizza was way way way overcooked. I like a crispy pizza crust, not crispy cheese or crispy sausages. I almost did not accept it, but I was in a hurry and needed to move on. When i got home 5 minutes later, the pizza was cold , so i had to reheat, which made it even worse. And the taste, just about the worst I've had here in Vegas area. I feel bad posting this , but being from Chicago, born and raised in the city not a suburbanite, this was my go to. With that last pizza and poor service on top of that, they lost me as a customer. Sad because there are barely any good pizza places in Henderson...
Read moreWent to Water Street Pizzeria this past weekend and were thoroughly impressed. This place is nestled in the heart of Henderson on Water street, and offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or enjoying a leisurely dinner, the friendly staff and casual vibe make it a delightful spot.
Now for the star of the show, their pizzas! Their crafts pizzas that are nothing short of heavenly. We tried the Marguerita which I had done in their heart shaped and was perfect for Valentine’s Day week. The sauce and crust were outstanding, the crust is perfectly cooked, golden, and perfectly crispy, while the gooey cheese and tangy tomato sauce created a symphony of flavors. We also tried the Venice veggie. Yummy. If you’re gluten-free, fear not—they also serve a fantastic gluten-free pizza that doesn’t compromise on taste.
The restaurant is overall very cozy and welcoming, it’s small inside but they have a super cute patio with some fun murals including angel wings that make for perfect Instagramable photos. They also have seating outdoor out front.
Water Street Pizzeria strikes the right balance between comfort and flavor. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, their commitment to quality ingredients and friendly service shines through. Plus, the aroma of freshly baked pizza will have you coming...
