Be careful if you miss the sign saying not to park in front of the store if you're not doing business with Gold Casters. It's more than a little annoying when you leave your car for less than 10 minutes and come back to a hard-to-remove sticker on your car window and a creepy woman is staring at you from the door, smiling at you as if she just served some news worthy level of justice. If she had just come out and told me I had made a mistake parking where I did, I would have deeply apologized and made sure to pay more attention to nearby signs, and of course not park there again if I'm not going into Gold Casters
Speaking of the sign, it is not set up well. It's facing towards the entrance from the main road, but I came in from the back parking lot, so I didn't immediately see it from that angle. Also, the sign is just a bunch of word vomit. I'm sure there are people who have glanced at the sign and said, "I ain't reading all that," and parked there anyway.
To sum up, I've looked in the windows of Gold Casters and have been telling myself I should visit this place soon since I love antique-esque shops. But now? I'll make sure to mention, to everyone I can, to avoid this place in fear of the eerie owner(?)...
Read moreI always see this store from the outside & all its little trinkets in the window but I NEVER been inside until today when I saw the most BEAUTIFUL amethyst rock on their display case that I just NEEDED to own! I went in, with hopes of not being stared down or shooed away, cause I do look rather unapproachable, but none of that happened! The two women working the front were SUPER sweet & so nice!! I asked how much the amethyst was & she had no clue because she didn't even know it was there so I thought the sale wasn't going to happen until she told me she'll grab it & see. When she did she brought it to (I'm assuming the owner) the gentleman working with the jewelry & he seemed so knowledgeable on everything, he gave one glance at their "buy book" & flat out gave me a price, which I thought he was gonna say $300 or something but no! He said "60 bucks" which I was amazed!!! I said I'll take it!!!! The lady was shocked too but she just gave me my total & was so nice about me scoring such an amazing piece. As I was leaving she also said "can't wait for you to come back" that little comment made me feel nice. 😭 I will definitely be...
Read moreThese folks are professionals all the way kids! I had a couple of pieces of jewelry that I wanted to authenticate and possibly sell on-line ( which just for the record, would be my first time selling anything on- line ever!). Well, I showed up at their door at about 4:30 on a Friday night. They graciously welcomed me in and got right down to the business at hand. Well they not only authenticated the pieces, Micheal ended up buying them from me! He gave me a fair price in my opinion. And all of this was done in about 20mins. I was on my way with a little cash in my pocket in no time but best of all I didn't have to go through the hassle of selling on line, considering I have exactly zero experience at it! I've lived here for 29yrs and I'm so glad I still continue to find quaint little businesses in beautiful Henderson. Proud to call it home! Of course they were practicing all covid related safety precations, I know I felt safe. I would recommend this business without hesitation! They have lots of interesting things for sale, you really have to check it out for yourselves...
