Well, hold the phone, folks, and listen up! Your resident grill master and king of the cul-de-sac just embarked on a flavor expedition to the Chick-fil-A here in Hendersonville, NC, and let me tell you, it was a real poultry-in-motion experience! From the moment I rolled the ol’ minivan into the lot, I could tell this place wasn’t just winging it. The service? Faster than my kids asking for allowance money! Every single employee hit me with a “My pleasure!” so polite, it made me feel like the guest of honor at a chicken convention. These folks are the definition of pro-polite-ness! They’ve clearly been trained to cluck in for the customer, and their efficiency is something to behold. No fowl play in that drive-thru line, you better believe it. Now, for the main event: the Lord’s Chicken. I ordered the classic sandwich, and it was simply im-peck-able. The chicken was so tender and juicy, it must have had a very happy childhood. Each bite was a little piece of heaven, perfectly seasoned and nestled in that fluffy, buttery bun. It was so good, it made me want to cross the road again and again to get one. I even grabbed one of their coffees, which was absolutely brew-tiful. It really perked me right up for the rest of my dad-duty errands. Even the facilities were a sight to see. I had to make a pit stop, and the restrooms were so clean, I almost took a selfie. I mean, they were sparkling! A real potty-starter for how public restrooms should be maintained. So, what's the final verdict from this connoisseur of convenience? The Hendersonville Chick-fil-A gets two enthusiastic thumbs up, way, way up. The food is top-notch, the service is egg-cellent, and the whole operation runs smoother than a fresh jar of peanut butter. It’s a well-oiled machine that serves up happiness, one waffle fry at a time. Don’t just take my word for it—get over there and see for yourself! You'll leave with a full belly and a smile....
Read moreThe Chick-Fil-A at 52 Highland Square in Hendersonville, NC refused to take my order because I refused to move the activity bus that I parked at the back of their parking lot. There were no signs at any of the entrances saying “No Bus Parking”. I pointed out to the employee that there were plenty of empty parking spots in the back of the building as well as in the front and sides of the building. I had a full bus of high school basketball players and pointed out that the bus only takes 5 spots and for that many people it would take at least 10 parking spots of cars. I tried to be nice but he kept on wining and asked if I was going to move the bus. I said no and told him to “Get lost, I was done talking to him”. I walk away and went inside then the manager comes and says he doesn’t appreciate me telling his employee to “Get lost”. I told him what I told the employee, there are no signs saying no bus parking and when I see a sign I will park somewheres else. I said they need to remember the first rule of customer service- the customer is always right. Apparently they don’t believe in that because he said if I didn’t move the bus, they wouldn’t serve me. I said I don’t think that refusing service to a disabled senior veteran is the image Chick-Fil-A corporate would want but they did not care. I walk to the register to order my food and the cashier says loudly “We can’t serve you if you don’t move the bus”. I said I don’t care and walked out to wait in the bus for my group. While I am waiting peacefully in the bus, they called the police. The officer was very nice about it and asked if I could park at Wal-Mart which I complied. I was told by the coach, the employees were cheering and clapping as I walked out. Very unprofessional… Congratulations Chick-Fil-A. You have lost a...
Read moreI had a very traumatizing experience at Chick-fil-A and will NEVER support this company again.
Around 1:30 p.m., 8/4. I was in the drive-thru in Lane 1 with one car ahead of me. In Lane 2, there was also one car. The car ahead of me took a little longer, so I was sitting and looking at my phone.
The older lady taking orders in Lane 2 finished with her customer, and no cars were left in that lane. About 40 seconds passed, and another car pulled up behind me. Instead of coming to me next, the older lady walked right past my car and went to take the order of the car behind me—even though the car in front of me was still there and I clearly hadn’t been helped yet.
When it was finally my turn, a very nice young lady greeted me and asked, “Hello, did she take your order?” I said, “No. I don’t want anything anymore, thank you.” She responded kindly, and I wished her a nice day.
When I got to the window, I asked to speak with a manager. A very nice young woman whose name started with “E” came out and listened to my story. As I was explaining, she immediately said, “Oh, I am so sorry. I know exactly who that is.”
I told her that in all my years of supporting Chick-fil-A and spending thousands of dollars here, this has never happened. I also told her that I will never eat at Chick-fil-A again. She asked what she could do to make it right, but I said there was nothing—my mind was made up. I thanked her for her empathy and for listening.
As a lifelong food lover, I can say with certainty: I will never eat Chick-fil-A again—not even if...
