Waffle House — Restaurant in Hendersonville

So my best friend calls and says he’d like to go to Waffle House, it’s on his bucket list. I was happy to oblige because one, it is uniquely southern and tied for one, it is the best breakfast anywhere, any day and anytime of day. So that was our first decision, to go in the morning. It was a busy hour and the place was bustling with hustle. Greeted by a hardy Good Morning! as we enter, signaled right away that we are not strangers and we will not be ignored. We sat at the bar giving us a front row seat to the back row action. We have a hot cup of coffee in front of us before our butts hit the bench and putting down his menu my friend felt emboldened to just ask for what he wanted. As I told him, any eggs, anyway and done to perfection. I got the cheese omelet, my favorite over the past 50 years and something that I have Never been able to duplicate. Not only do they make the best omelets, they make the best omelets in Charlotte, in Atlanta, in Asheville from Baton Rouge to Boone. As a manager once told me Waffle House is Americas best kept secret and one reason why is house to house perfection. As another manager advised a new recruit, we don’t care how your grandma did it or how great you think she was and I’m sure you’re right but when you step through these doors there is only One Way to Do Things and that’s the Waffle House way and based on the smile on my friends face as he finished his breakfast, the Waffle House way is...

Wednesday Feb/7/2018 This is for the owner...we came yesterday around 8:40pm...2 tables dirty with plates..floor very dirty with trash on many tables..we did not get acknowledge..the cook or the only server you got did not welcome us..we sat on the only "clean table" available...your server did really not use her time wisely to ask us what we would to drink...instead she chooses to attend a customer that walk 5 minutes later in your place with to go order...then at 9 the next server came and instead of attending us ( no proper communication) she proceeded to grab a trash bag full out of the trash can...and then the firts server told the other chick to take care of us...so she left the trash on the floor...and with out washing her hands came to us..before grabing silverware..( still hand dirty) and finally asking us for our drink...coffee was old...the tea...no ice...not good service...check your camaras if don't believe...I hope you really care about your business...and do something...ahh...by the way..the manager came from the office..with his hair all messy..and I wonder was is the purpose of having him...if he can't really watch your bussinnes...is a shame... Place dirty...bad service and the mistake is for that firts server that was there ..watch your camara. And do...

Don't recommend. This waffle house has gone down hill. Came in at 2am after the haunted farm. I understand waitresses are tired but don't be hateful this is your profession you choose. We got 3 all stars and a Texas cheese melt. My bacon was burned she hands it to me then says he is making another and she'll bring it out to me........ I got nothing. My friends Texas melt had black burnt bacon AND the toast on one side. I asked for crispy hasbroens they came back almost cold and soggy no crisp. I didn't get one refill on my drink mind you we walked in there was 3 empty tables and people waiting for them to be cleaned off. We waited 45 minutes there was 2 servers one cook. They had half the restaurant closed off and three servers kept stopping at the doorwat to the back stand there talking ours went out side 5 times during the course of us waiting on our food not counting waiting...
