We have been going to GC every year for the past 4 years my son loves GC and this is were he wants to spend his birthday, we went this year on Feb 9th 2019 for his 8th birthday, and im really sorry to say we will not be going back he will have to find some place else to go for his birthday, the gentleman who was helping the cashier was very pleasant and helpful, he got us a table and was wounderful, our waitress was ok not very personally, one of the children there asked for Mountain Dew and she snapped at him and said we dont have Mountain Dew, the child didnt know he had melo yellow he was 5 she didnt need to act that way, the food was ok the cottage chess was soured when we told her that she acted like she was disgusted that we told her, the bar b que chicken was raw inside, had to wait 10 minutes before the person cuttting steak would even wait on people, there was no one there that was serving the cut ham, kept asking for some ham and keep being ignored, when we went to pay for a to go plate, paid $16.99 for a to go plate got a small box that only held 2 vegies, roll, and 2 slices of steak and i put a slice of ham on them, now remind you if you go and eat there you pay $11.99 plus $2.99 for drink, well to go i dont need a drink right, well i paid $ 16.99 for this to go plate, so im not going to take as much as i would if i ate there right, well no box for salad or dessert when i went to ask for something to put salad and dessert in i was told they would give me something to put that in but i would have to have them weight it and would then be charged $6.99 per pound for that, REALLY, REALLY, I cant believe this i just paid $4.00 more than i did for eating there, and if you want salad and dessert to go you are charged $6.99 per pound more, REALLY, you are making a killing on this to go, now we have always had a great experience here in Hendersonville, and have always gotten a to go plate and was never charged like this, what is this to charge like this, i eat there i get salad dessert and the whole Buffett for one price of 11.99 plus $2.99 for drink thats a great price, but to take home your charged $16.99 then $6.99 per pound for salad and dessert, that is way to much, we will not return, and this has been my childs birthday go to place for the past 4 years and also we go threw out the year also, but not anymore, you are running your customers off with this ridiculous pricing, you need to rethink your to go prices, these are outrageous, not all family members can attend this things for health reasons and may ask for to go plates, but who can afford to take your home bound family members a plate, and your not taking that much food home, no $16.99 amount home and for sure then to pay and extra $6.99 per pound to get them salad and dessert, im sorry but we wont be...
Read moreMy husband and I drive 45 minutes just to eat at Golden Corral. It is always good food, good service, and a great price. However, tonight was different. Our waitress, Jackie, seemed too busy chatting with the cashier, manager, and other waitress to fill our drinks and take our dirty dishes. After our drinks were empty for 20 minutes, I took our glasses to the waitress station to ask for a refill. A waitress was there making drinks and I politely ask her if she could fill our drinks. She looked irritated, nodded slightly, and continued what she was doing. I became more irritated at that point and said, "Good, because we're choking." The waitress sat down the drinks she had in her hand so hard that they sloshed, and loudly, sarcastically said, "Oh well then, let me stop what I'm doing and get your drinks!" She snatched my glasses from me and started filling them. I was angry at that point and said, "Good! You need to!" She was so angrily filling them that she was knocking stuff in the floor, like the ice scoop. Jackie arrived at the waitress station and said, "I've got your drinks right here. I'm so sorry." The drinks she was holding had been sitting there for so long that the ice was partially melted and the drinks were watery. Jackie then looked at the other waitress and said, "I've got their drinks right here." The waitress stopped and shoved our drinks toward Jackie and said, "But SHE handed me THESE!" She then shoved the drinks toward me. I took them and said, "What's your name?" She smiled, rolled her eyes a little, and in broken syllables said, "E-VA." I took my drinks, said "THANK-YOU," and went back to my table. Jackie followed me with the watered down drinks. She kept apologizing and saying that she had a party in the other room she had to take care of. The group in that room came in after we had been there for awhile with dishes piling up on our table and those around us. Jackie tried to make up for it and kept apologizing. I told her it was fine and that we were OK at that point. I am still very upset that Eva thinks it's ok to talk to customers in the tone she used with me, or ok to angrily handle drinks, etc., the way she did. Wait staff, or anyone else in customer service, does not have the option of having a temper tantrum just because someone asks for a drink refill. It was childish and rude. I feel sorry for Eva's customers, but I really only saw her fill drinks at one table, one time. They were probably better off with no service than dealing with...
Read moreWent to eat at 2:38 p.m. range today and the rudest cashiers ever two younger cashiers very rude and very cold we're not helpful at all and not welcoming I don't expect a cashier to be overly excited but I don't expect them also to be rude and cold towards customers I definitely enjoyed the food but did not enjoy the service the waitress was awesome but the two younger cashiers working today shift especially the one younger one black-headed was very unprofessional and I did tell her that I didn't appreciate the rudeness and then she just said whatever when I said that and also didn' Silverware was and didn't ask us if we wanted a tip my most buffets almost all in gone to they always ask if you want to tip or you want money for a tip she didn't ask that she didn't ask anything she was very very unhelpful in the situation and I had to go back and get tip money and fork and spoon ware didn't even tell me the silverware was here like I said if you dont want to work in the restaurant you shouldn't as it can ruin the experience for everyone it is our job as customers to be respectful and to do what we need to do on our end just like it's should be the employees to make a fun memorable and helpful experience total opposite in this on this day definitely want to come back but that needs to be addressed and I have plenty of credit cards and my card was acting up my first one and instead of telling me that my card was not working she tried it for like 3 or 4 minutes and then finally I was about to ask if I needed to use my other cards and then she really said it's been declined and it aggravated me the tone she had about that so I just pulled out another one for right away but instead of just not telling me instead of trying for free for a minute you should have just told me that I think the 2 people that was working the shift around 2.38 till 3 pm range in the front needs to be retrained on customer service and etiquette cuz it's very important because the whole other experience I had...
