A True Culinary Gem in Hendersonville: Postero on Main Street Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Postero on Main Street in Hendersonville, NC is an exceptional restaurant that showcases the growing culinary scene in this charming town. It's a testament to how Hendersonville is becoming a destination known for its remarkable food, comparable to major cities. Postero sets a high standard for culinary excellence. From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the restaurant's inviting ambiance. The room exudes incredible charm, creating the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. The attention to detail in the decor and the comfortable seating arrangements contributed to the overall enjoyment of the evening. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the food. Postero's commitment to using locally sourced ingredients shines through in every dish. The farm-to-table concept adds a unique touch to the menu, resulting in a truly remarkable dining experience. Each bite was bursting with flavors, expertly crafted to showcase the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The culinary team at Postero is incubating a new generation of chefs who have the potential to reach the prestigious James Beard award-winning status. The service at Postero was impeccable. The staff members were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about their craft. They went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. The waitstaff's expertise in suggesting complementary drinks further enhanced our meal. Speaking of drinks, the beverage selection at Postero is outstanding. The bar offers a range of creatively crafted cocktails, showcasing both classic favorites and unique concoctions. The attention to detail in the drinks was evident, and they perfectly complemented the flavors of the dishes. Postero on Main Street has left an indelible impression on me, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. It's a testament to the culinary talent and passion that Hendersonville has to offer.

We had a reservation at 5pm, when they open. The bells rang out and they opened the doors. We were greeted by the hostess, who was friendly and professional, and we were promptly seated. Dimitri and Kat were our servers. They were top notch, literally could not ask for better. They took our drink and appetizer order and within minutes reappeared with them. The crab hushpuppies were amazing and the avocado aioli was delicious. Entrees ordered were "The Steak" and the Brick Chicken. "The Steak" was served with broccolini and heavily massaged (not-quite-mashed) potatoes. Both were seasoned perfectly and required no additional salt or pepper. The steak is cooked medium-rare, which is the only proper way to enjoy the Coulotte cut. I suppose they'd cook it further if you wish but I wouldn't recommend that. The real surprise here was the Brick Chicken. To say that it was delicious would be a gross understatement... it was cooked just done so as not to be dried out at all. The Vandouvan butter was the real hero, though. All the layers of flavors were married together so exquisitely that it was difficult for me to determine what each was. The carrots, zucchini and tomatoes were spectacular as well. Overall, it was the best dining-out experience we've had in a very long time. The level of hospitality was above and beyond and the food was AWESOME. Can't wait to come back in the Fall!!!

We started with the Brussels sprouts and they were phenomenal. Crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, they set the tone for the rest of the meal. We also ordered the mosaic plate which was a creative twist on a traditional hummus plate. Instead of hummus it had an eggplant base that was smooth and delicious, a great change of pace. For mains, I had the chicken and my wife had the ribeye. The chicken had a nice crispy texture that I really enjoyed, even though it leaned a little dry. The risotto served alongside it was absolutely immaculate, creamy and rich, the kind of dish you remember long after the meal. The ribeye had good flavor, though a little fatty, and it came with fries and a salad which made it a complete plate. We finished with the tiramisu and it was the perfect ending. Light, decadent, and beautifully balanced, it was so good that both of us agreed it elevated the entire experience. The food overall was creative and flavorful, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere made the evening enjoyable from start to finish. With dishes like these, especially the risotto, Brussels sprouts, and tiramisu, this place earns five stars without question.

We celebrated a 70th birthday there last night and were beyond disappointed with the service. The food and atmosphere were great, but the experience was destroyed by the wait staff and manager. The first guests to arrive were the birthday girl and her 90 year old husband. They were told they would have to stand at the front and wait until the rest of the party arrived. The room and table were already set, there was no reason to ask this couple to wait. We waited for about 10 minutes once we got to the table and decided to go to the bar for our first round of drinks. When we returned, the waitress made it clear that she was not happy with us for doing so. The worst experience I have ever had with customer service was while all 16 of us tried to order. We had four kids with us and I had called several times prior to our arrival to ask questions and make sure we were set up ahead of time. I was informed there was no kids menu, but that the chef could do kids meals based on the menu on an individual basis. The lunch menu contained a burger that one of the kids wanted to order. The waitress told us they don't serve burgers at dinner and I explained to her the conversations I had had over the phone that they could do this, as well as other dishes, to accommodate the children in our party. She turned to me, told me I was wrong and went to get the manager. The manager came into our room, stood over me and literally shook her finger at me while bending over the table toward me, telling me that they only serve burgers at lunch and on Tuesday nights. She raised her voice and our entire party had never seen anything quite like it - she literally chastised me for asking for a hamburger for a child. My kids were stunned that she got in my face and my husband couldn't believe how confrontational she was upon entering the room and speaking with me. I did not want to ruin the evening by arguing with her so I just told her I must have misunderstood and we would find something else to feed the disappointed child. The manager left the room and our entire party sat with our mouths hanging open we were in such shock at the way she stormed in, told me the phone call I was referencing never happened, and created a scene in front of our entire party over a hamburger. Our bill was over $600.00 and this was the service we experienced all evening. The chef did a great job with the food, but the management and customer service were unacceptable and no one in our party will ever visit this...

I searched for about an hour and a half for a nice restaurant that had seating for 3 at a reasonable time and this kept popping up as a very good restaurant. I originally booked it for 7 on open table but then changed my mind because of the limited food menu. When I looked up restaurants in the area there aren't many upscale restaurants in the hendersonville area that have better reviews than Postero. Unfortunately when I went back they only had 9pm available. When I texted thru open table to try and seat me earlier they responded back within 10 min with I have seating at 830. That was super nice of them as I wasn't even ready for a response from anyone. So off the bat they get a star extra for service. We ordered bread for the table which turns on that it is like a Texas toast. Not the best and not the worst bread in the world. We otlrdered the steak and flounder. According to my gf the steak was one of the best she has ever gotten. The bok choy was not her favorite and she is a fan of bok choy. The flounder was good and perfectly cooked however we would of just rather chosen our sides. The polenta and tomato base was good but it had a spiciness that I wasn't quite ready for. I think the menu could have a warning on it mentioning this. Whatever edible leafy substance they put on the top tasted a bit moldy or musty for my liking. We also got the broccoli and cheese which was out of this world. There were no food specials here so make sure your party likes the menu before going. If I'm in the area I may check out to see if the menu has changed and I may try it again if it has. The place was a bit chilly for our tables liking which is a huge drawback since my mom is a little bit older and would of liked not to be cold during her dinner. The server was nice and parking was close by. All in all, its an adequate non pompous laid back restaurant. No need to dress up unless you feel the need. The food was good however it lacked choices and the ability to change how your dish comes. There is no salt and pepper on the table but our food was seasoned just fine. I'd say there are other choices in the area but if you like what you see on the menu I'd say...
