Capri Gelato & Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Hermosa Beach

Best ice cream in town! For me as a European I find it very hard to find good ice cream in the US! That’s why I am so happy that I found this amazing place! Capri has real gelato like you can find it in Italy! The owner is Italian, that’s why he knows how to make real Italian gelato. The ice cream is so creamy and tasty! They make the ice cream fresh every day! You can see the factory through a window. They use very high quality ingredients and you can taste that! Also the service was very friendly every time I came around. They also let you sample some flavours. They have sorbet (vegan) and milk ice cream. The variety of flavours is big: they have the typical vanilla up to special flavours. They change the flavours all the time. And also the price is fair (regarding LA prices). I can really highly recommend Capri Gelato and will come back...

As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a pleasant hello along with a pleasant smile!

The staff were not stingy at all with letting us taste different flavours making sure we could taste what ever one we wanted to try!

The coffee is amazing here. They did NOT skimp on the espresso machine!

Even the decor and design I have to say makes you feel like you have been transformed into a gelato store in Italy!!

Ok, my first experience was a pistacio, or attempt, Gelato. But the flavor was more a burnt pistachio husk than a flavorful bite like you might get in spumoni or at other Gelato places. I did not like it Sam I am. They gave us a good size scoop...too bad it was bad enough we didn't want to eat half of it.

Atmosphere nice and open, playing Gorillaz, but I'm staying away from anything that can be eating. Chai latte was fair, nothing awesome or horrendous, just warm enough to bring down the ocean chill. Flavorful...
