Treasure Chest, with its delightful eye-catching mural, has been a fixture in this lively waterfront area comprised of bars, restaurants for YEARS! I hadn't been to Hermosa Beach for some time and when on a recent visit, decided to pop in. Don't let the gigantic SOUVENIRS sign deceive you from knowing that within, yes, there are all manner of trinkets and souvenirs for those wishing such items, but there are also to some truly reasonably priced, well-made, comfy beach dresses, necklaces and ankle bracelets and other beach wearables that spell "Ah, BEACH! I'm RELAXING!" The owner is SUPER helpful! Did I need yet another summer beach dress? No! Did I see- and BUY- a fantastic dress I simply could not resist? YES! Given their location (clearly costly), and the prices of some other nearby clothing boutiques, I couldn't believe how great thus dress was, and for such a truly reasonable price! I even returned later, having shopped the area as a whole, to thank the wonderful owner! I'm okay for beachwear for this year, but you can bet that when I'm in the area next year, this is a store I will definitely check out to...

Pier Avenue in Hermosa Beach California is one of the iconic places in my life. The scene means the beach, it means swimming in the Pacific Ocean, boogie boarding, walking the pier and taking photos with my love, my wife for the past 22 years, and we have visited here more than 22 times. Buying a T-shirt for a grandchild now, ha ha, for daughter only yesterday it feels like, eating at Hennessy’s Irish Pub or at Scotty’s casual diner (flip-flops & tshirt appropriate, or coffee at Java Man up top of the street, or Starbucks next to the Parking garage. Rude and disrespectful. Went in and was looking around. Thought I could go upstairs since there was a sign that said smile your on camera. This lady comes up the stairs and says what do u guys think ur doing in here. U guys can't be in here. My friend apologizes and said something about the sign. She said well no u shouldn't be in here rudely. I call her out on her attitude and she talks back then slams the door as she goes in.
