We were on the road for a dr's appointment in Hisperia. When we were done, we realized we were famished, since the patient had to fast for the appointment. She wanted Mexican food and nothing else, so I said, "let's just go down Main St. and see if there's a place." Well, as we ventured down the road, there on the corner of Main & 11th was 'Carnitas Ayala'. We parked, went in, and were quickly greeted by 'Jonathon', who was a very polite and courteous young man in his 20', with a very professional and attentive demeanor. As we were guided to our table by Jonathon, I immediately noticed the sparkling cleanliness of this establishment. We then met 'Yveth', the restaurant manager. Yveth is a very lovely, warm, and welcoming lady, who obviously knows how to run and maintain a busy, buzzing restaurant atmosphere, with ease. She was not only very pleasant to us, but also to all the others dining. We felt at home with the staff at Carnitas Ayala. Now, let's talk about food: In our lifetime, my wife and I have together probably been to over 1000 Mexican Restaurants. Look, honestly, we have been to some good places, and we have also been to some not so good. But regardless of all of our experiences eating at Mexican Restaurants, Carnitas Ayala has taken the top prize-the GOLD MEDAL!! The food was SPECTACULAR and cooked to perfection!! I can not say enough to truly describe our wonderful experience in this restaurant. We are already making plans to visit there again. Not to be remiss, they have a live band on Fridays and they are actually quite equipped to accommodate that as well-with a stage and all the necessary equipment. My wife and I have plans to visit on a Friday as well. We can hardly wait to be back to Carnitas Ayala!! We HIGHLY...
Read moreVery nice people but they need more training on the waiters and someone being at the front desk when people walk in not just a bell. It was me and my boyfriend and we were only handed one menu and as the man walked away he said we could sit anywhere. The restaurant was empty so I hoped that they would take time to sit us down. A lady came and was nice enough to hand us another menu and brought us chips and salsa. I think that the salsa a restaurant has should be like dipping salsa the one we got was like for the food it was a red and green salsa, and had spoons in them so i wasn’t sure if it was for dipping or not. I ordered some carnita nachos and the beans were dry and the overall nachos were plain. It was just the chips, beans, cheese, meat, and salsa. The pictures look like they had pico de gallo. It would have been nice if they added that and some sour cream and some guacamole like traditional loaded nachos. The nachos were served in a to go box with a plastic fork and the food my boyfriend ordered was served in a actual plate. I would have liked since we were both eating there to also be served in a actual plate with some metal utensils. The horchata was very good and was served in a pretty big cup. The carnitas were very good they tasted fresh and juicy! My boyfriend got a carnitas torta and it was pretty good overall. nothing really out of this world. I think the staff should be more attentive to it’s customers. Overall pretty good food but the service wasn’t really there which i think plays a big factor in a restaurant and how welcomed you feel...
Read moreAs I was driving by on my way from work on Sunday December 5, 2021 @2:50, I notices the sign with the name of the new restaurant occupying this space. (There have been many, many, many failed restaurants in this space in the last 15 years) I decided to stop and order takeout for lunch and patronize the new restaurant. Upon walking in I was given a menu in Spanish. As I do not speak Spanish I asked the waiter if he could get me an English menu. He said there are no English menus but he will get someone to help me. A few seconds later a very nice lady came from the back and asked if she could help. I told her I needed to see a menu in English as I do not read or speak Spanish. She told me there are no English menus. I then asked if the restaurant is meant for Spanish speaking people only. She said no and expressed that they are still working on the English menu. She gave me a breakdown of the menu and I ordered a lengua burrito, chilaquiles and 2 large horchatas. Approximately, 7-10 minutes later she brought my food. I must say the staff is very nice and courteous. Regarding the food; I rate my horchata a 3, my chilaquiles a 3 1/2 and my burrito 4 on a 5 star rating scale. BTW, the burrito had about 80% tasty, juicy quality meat; so they did not skimp on the meat whatsoever. The beans, rice and cilantro made it an overall great eating experience. I will definitely be back to check out some other items...
