Starbucks — Restaurant in Hickory

I come by kinda often to this location. It's always busy and they seem understaffed. Everyone is usually busting their buts but there is a couple people I see that will just watch the others as they are drowning and not help. Very nice and friendly though. Other customers here are straight up crazy and makes me embarrassed to be one. While waiting the other day I overheard a lady talking about how she lies and purposely causes issues at this store for free stuff and because she doesn't like the staff variety(she actually used a lot worse words). I've also watched people not listen to a word the workers are saying and just flip out over nothing and yell at them like they have control over the prices or rules they have to follow. Some guy the other day said to his buddy they were gonna follow out an employee and hit them with their car if they wanted a break that badly. The worker had been making drinks nonstop for like the whole 6hrs I had been working in the corner. Like what the heck is wrong with some of y'all grown adults acting like coffee is the end of the world. Or even you can't use your eyes and critical thinking and see that the drive thru is wrapped around the building so it's probably gonna be a wait or if the app says 30 mins like it's done to me it's gonna be 30 mins. One customer was harassing an employee to turn off online ordering and when he told her they can't without approval because they'd get fired she said they all should be fired then and tried to grab their tablet things they use or whatever it is. I work in food service too so I really get the struggle, the crazy ones all come out at starbucks and will say some of the most heinous crap and they're expected to smile and nod at it. I hope I see some of these customers at my work and they'll see how no one else actually tolerates this. the drinks are always nice here, but consistently employees are rude. i came in today for a drink with my boyfriend today, and we ordered separately but right behind each other. i redeemed my birthday drink, he got a venti pumpkin spice latte, and then we sat down to wait.

the line was wrapped around the building, and people were waiting around in the dining room. my boyfriend saw the screens and saw that someone was at the window for like 5 minutes and someone was at the speaker for 3 minutes. i've worked fast food and understand a rush, but the employees were leisurely taking their time. i would have been much more understanding if they were obviously trying their best to get these orders out. the only people that looked like they were actually working was the man on drive thru window and the lady on dine in register with long dark hair. we ended up getting our drinks AFTER multiple people who came in before us and waited for longer than us.

someone came up and asked an employee, riley, how many drinks were ahead of hers. they told her that there were 4 drinks ahead of hers, and about 20 minutes wait. after the woman said thank you and sat back down (without making a fuss), they turned and shook their head and started complaining and looked visibly annoyed while talking to another person who was on the bar. this other person left a drink half made sitting on the bar and then went to talk, seemingly just joking around before she went back to finish the drink a few minutes later.

Went there today Easter Sunday around 345 pm did a mobile order went inside not expecting my order to be ready but I didn't mind sitting there waiting for my drinks. As I sit there after 20 minutes I saw close to 10 people who came in after me getting their drinks some of them didn't do mobile orders saw them putting in their orders at the register. I walked twice saw my 2 stickers for my mobile orders stuck to one of their panel. Name Christine so I know my orders came through and it's the first two behind 4 other stickers. After watching how many people came through after me and got their orders I walked up there again this time the four stickers that was behind mine are gone now it's just my two still no one bother to make my drinks after 30 minutes I had enough went up to the register asked why is my order not being made when I been there for 30 minutes why are they making other orders that was after mine the lady working the register didn't know what to say she went took off my mobile stickers look at the time and apologize. She said they were suppose to make them in the order that it came in. At this point I just want a refund this is the 2nd time they did this to me. Last time it was just me in the store it was 8 pm so they were not busy. Today yes they were busy but there was 5 or 6 people working. The Barista who is missing a front tooth and another lady was both just ignoring my orders I saw how they made every order after mine don't know what is their problem but this is uncall for very rude racist and...
