Bubbleful Tea — Restaurant in High Point

Oh, I am SO glad the owners of Singha II Thai Bistro decided to open up this adorable boba tea shop! The teas are delightful, not too sweet, and very flavorful. I love just the regular tapioca pearls, but I see they have a wide variety of flavored "jelly" (I believe that's coconut jelly?) that you can also add. There aren't a million flavors, but the ones they have are fantastic; taro is a popular favorite, but I also love green tea and avocado, separately or as a refreshing combo. The staff is wonderful, and if you frequent Singha, you'll see familiar faces. They even have a little cooler with fun desserts on offer. The flavors seem to rotate. There was a lot about my experience here which led to this 1 star rating. The flavored tea I got was painfully sweet - like, far too sweet to drink, kind of sweet... and this is coming from someone with a serious sweet tooth. My husband got milk tea, which was poorly blended and had a strange texture. Finally, the boba in both of our drinks seemed like it was old - you could seen that it was breaking apart even just in the drink. The boba in my tea was clumped together in one giant blob. Went in and nobody was there. It also looked closed. We were about to leave but an employee came in. The lady who made the “bubble tea”, basically just put water, the powder mix and ice. It does not taste good at all. The straws are too small for the bubbles. Don’t waste your time or money. Reminds me of a refresher from starbucks but bad, don’t even want to finish it.
