South University, High Point — Attraction in High Point

I was only there for 1 semester because I started at a rough time and could not really afford the monthly tuition payments that my financial aid did not cover. I will forewarn, this school is costly, however you get what you pay for. Large classrooms not overloaded with students, flexible scheduling, compassionate staff. Seriously, I left there almost 2 years ago, after ONE semester, came back for my transcripts and admissions greeted me by name. This is the type of school you go to when the BIG WIG Universities are not for you. Yes your going to pay the money, but you get the assurance of learning in peace. Every single person I ran into at this South location was a blessing. They walked me through the process of transferring from Shaw University, they helped me achieve academic excellence, they consoled me when I went through a rough time mid semester. I cannot say enough great things about this place, honestly!! If you are reading this review, THANK YOU...

They are the worst! I have been trying to get a hold of someone to get my transcripts for weeks now and have been unsuccessful. Someone finally emailed me back, but I have called three separate times and left voicemails, with them to go unreturned. The email addresses I have on file no longer work and it's impossible to get any help without having to jump through hoops.

edit I was finally able to get through to someone and have them mail/email my transcripts to the correct location. Mind you, this did take a lot of going in circles, but at least I received the information I was looking for. The process could have been simplified if I hadn't been directed to talk to so many people in the beginning, all of which could not help me. At least they were really nice during the ordeal and provided great...

This is an accredidated school that presents miscellaneous issues when it subcombs with student loans. This particular high upscale business institution is basically designed for military individuals or middle upper class students. However, if you are at a lower socioeconomic status, you may want to think CRITICALLY before signing a contact with South University and it's affiliates.
