Read moreLet me start by saying the food here is always good. The service tonight was horrible. We were seated in the back room at the High Point location and it was freezing. Most people were asking to be moved to the front. We should have. We stayed in the back and had a horrible server. My husband ordered the country fried steak and eggs. The server asked if he wanted white or brown gravy and if he wanted hash browns or grits...all the questions that should have been asked. She left to place our order, then came back with my dinner salad. Shortly after that, she came back to the table and asked for our order. We told her she already took it. She said, "Took what?" We explained she had already taken our order. She looked at her tablet and walked away. When our food came out, my meal was correct, but my husband was brought a sandwich. We told her that was not correct. She argued that the sandwich was what we requested. We had even pointed to the item on the menu. She asked if he wanted something else. He asked for a biscuit with white gravy. She brought one back with brown gravy. When she came to refill our drinks she was pouring my water and the cup was overflowing, and she didn't stop pouring. I seriously think she was on something. She mumbled throughout our interaction and clearly things weren't registering with her. I know restaurants are hurting for help, but if you are watching and see your employees unable to do their job, you should provide additional training or get...

From the warm inviting vibe to the service, my time at the diner was memorable, with the standout star being the incredible Country Biscuit.
Upon entering, I had the pleasure of meeting the new cook, Roberto, who added a friendly touch to the atmosphere after a brief encounter in the bathroom. Roberto's passion for culinary excellence was great, and it reflected wonderfully in the dishes the cooks crafted, the true hero of the evening was the Country Biscuit with Country Gravy – an absolute masterpiece that instantly became my favorite.
The Country Biscuit, with its perfect blend of flakiness and flavor, left an indelible mark on my taste buds. This dish alone is reason enough for me to plan a return visit to Carolina's Diner.
Adding to the experience was the service provided by Margarita, the server. Her friendliness, and dedication to ensuring our comfort greatly enhanced the overall dining experience.
