Duck Donuts — Restaurant in High Point

New to the state and to Duck Donuts. After reading the reviews, we had to give this place a try.

First and foremost, bring patience because these tasty made to order donuts are worth the wait.

The cashier was very nice and explained the process of ordering to us. My husband and I decided to order two donuts each which for me turned out to be a big mistake but I'll get to that in a minute.

My husband decided to try a Fan favorite called Bacon in the sun🌞 and a seasonal donut called Pumpkin Roll 🎃 I ordered the seasonal donut called Apple Pie and then ordered a custom donut with strawberry icing, 🌈 sprinkles, and raspberry drizzle.

It was fun to watch the process of them making our donuts and they were warm when we got them. I decided to try the Apple Pie donut first and it tasted so good but it was also sooo sweet! The donut had a nice fluffy texture with a little crisp to the outer edge. If I was about 20 years younger I wouldn't have had a problem eating both donuts. Although the donuts were very good, I was unable to eat the second one. The rest of the day I felt like I was on a major sugar high. My husband had no problems eating both of his but agreed the sweet factor was on another level.

Next time, maybe we will get one and split it. So if you have a major sweet tooth, this place is worth a try. Also, this location was clean and customer service...

My kiddo received a free dozen coupon (no purchase necessary) from her summer camp (15.75 value) and I appreciate the support of Ragsdale YMCA, kids, and the community. That's an exceptional contribution in value. Noted and commended. While I have eaten at Duck Donuts (not this location) before, the support will bring me back here to this store.

Made to order cake donuts with pre-made selections or build your own. The combinations are exhaustive and it's extremely hard to pick just one to go with. We got:

Beach Ball, Blueberry Lemonade, Blueberry Pancake, Strawberry Confetti, Chocolate Covered Strawberry, Cookies/Cream, S'mores, Lemon Strawberry Drizzle, Strawberry Shortcake, Cinnamon Sugar, Blueberry Crumble, and Boardwalk. These are printed on your receipt for matching names to donuts.

Yes I nibbled each one and any of these will hit someone right. My favorites were S'mores, Cookies/Cream, and Blueberry Crumble. Damn good.

Service was quick and the dude who packaged my dozen made sure I knew what each one was in the box. The menus at the register are helpful to sorting through all of the options. Inside and outside seating should you choose to indulge before...

According to a tracking app I used, I arrived at 7:15, however, the order taker was on the phone and my order wasn't placed until 7:22. I ordered 2 dozen mixed donuts of the donut makers choice, in an attempt to speed things up a bit. They had a single person topping donuts and a single person taking orders. The phone order was technically before my order and indeed, they made that one first. In the middle of all this, the single person topping donuts, had to stop production and.....you guessed it, MAKE MORE DUNUTS! I kid you not! This was prime time weekday rush and they ran out of donuts! They needed at least one more, possibly 2 to even come close to accommodating what was now happening as more people continued to order and come in the door. They do get 5 stars for product. The donuts received were actually very good, however, they weren't the complicated to make kind either, with several just being top dipped only. Oh, I was handed my 2 dozen donuts at 7:50 AM-35 minutes after walking in the door. Will I go back? Probably not...
