Was i was really excited to try this place as it is close to me. I am a big fan of taprooms and especially craft beer. Something I enjoy weekly. First the good- clean and nice size new ace, and has a nice upstairs sitting area in addition to the bar. They advertise local beers with 16 taps. On the day of my visit half we're local NC beers and the other half we're craft beer from different areas. The selection was good but may are beers you can find in any groceries, I would have liked to seen some deeper selections. Prices are very reasonable for such a place and I would haveiked to be a more frequent visitor.
The bad- on the day I came the owner was training a new bartender fine no problem but it was clear she had little beer experience and training was as you go. What really irked me though was I got up to check the cooler to see what other non draft choices they had and when I turned around she was asking me if I wanted another round. She had just dumped my beer. I had NOT finished my first beer, yes maybe just a swallow or two left but if I pay for a full craft beer I want to enjoy the whole thing. When I mentioned I was not finished with the first she jus abruptly said there wasnt anything there. My response was Shock, to which I added if you say so, followed by i'll take my check. I was noticeable I was not happy and rather than her approaching the owner and saying she might have made a mistake she just gave me the bill. There loss on the revenue I would have spent.
It might be some time before they get a second chance with me as we have lots of choices around town - unfortunately just...
Read moreExcellent little tap room off of Highway 68 in High Point. Located right next to several restaurants where you can grab food and bring it in as well. They have indoor and outdoor seating with the inside having two floors to choose from. As for 🍺 beer they have tons of rotating taps with some of their 🍺 beer and lots of North Carolina and regional offerings as well. They also have ♿ handicap accessible 🅿️ parking, seating, and 🚻 restrooms. They also have merchandise and games to play while...
Read moreSmall brewery with a menu of mostly guest taps. Only 5 of the 18 or so beers on the menu were brewed by Goofy Foot. So we tried all 5. Other than the sour, all were excellent. The taproom is modern and clean in an upscale business park. The barmaid on duty was very friendly and informative. We also talked to some of the regulars and this seems like a great place to hang out. I just wished they had a bigger variety of their own...
