George's Pizza — Restaurant in High Point

Was passing through and wanted pizza. Not here ever again. Checked for best pizza near me and George’s came up. In the pictures, the food looked great. We ordered Garlic Bread with cheese, I should have taken a picture there were literally a few strips of cheese and looked like it was thrown on after they took out of the oven. But it was good that we ordered something because an hour later we still didn’t have our pizza. My husband never complains or speaks up about anything, but he just spoke up and asked one of the server “where’s our food”? After another 5 minutes, the waitress who took our order brought A pizza to our table and said she was sorry it took so long, but they made it wrong and she made them redo another one. I would have liked to seen the first one, because the one that was brought to our table was no where near right. It had everything on it, soggy crust, and just messy, like it had not finished cooking. I wouldn’t serve what was brought to us to an animal wondering on the street. My philosophy is, if you wouldn’t eat it, then you certainly shouldn’t serve it. They did only charge us for the tea. Servers were nice, wouldn’t go back again if someone begged me to and said it wouldn’t...

We have been eating and drinking here for over 15 years and have always gotten great food and personal service. I'm sad to say that NONE of that happened today. It was like all of the people we knew who worked there just up and left. Our normal waitresses.... the cook.... everybody gone! It definitely showed in the food and service. It was not busy at all and our waitress was a young lady we've never seen before who was not very good at her job. The food..... total disaster. The loaded cheese fries were greasy and had very little cheese but were edible. We got the boneless wings and a small cheese pizza for main course. Look at attached pics. Says it all. The boneless wings were burned, dry, and very little sauce. The biggest let down was the pizza.... this pizza was soggy and cold on the bottom with hardly any cheese on a pizza with ONLY cheese as the topping. See Pic. This place had the best pizza in town....no exception. We spent over $60.00 this trip and got very bad food. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD WAIT STAFF AND COOK...or plan on...

THIS-IS-THE-GO-TO-RESTAURANT!!!!

The outside appearance is SO misleading, don’t pass this place by. EVERYTHING is AMAZING! And the Prices for the amount of food you get are unbelievable! I ALWAYS leave with a take-out box because there’s so much yumminess that I can never finish in one sitting!

Ok—now my go-to’s: ONION RINGS are freaking Out-of-this-World—definitely a staple and with their homemade ranch dressing—can’t go wrong!

Next, their subs—-I’m literally drooling now thinking about the hot ham and cheese (second pic!) This thing is so crispy on the outside and soft and warm and ohhhhh yes in the middle! Recommend getting the large and saving half for lunch the next day!

First pic and top of second pic is the chicken quesadilla. It’s FILLED with chicken and cheese and will totally FILL you up!!!

Finally, do you see my third picture—that is the calzone—it’s as big as my head and weighs just as much! OMG it is FABULOUS!!!

Seriously, you will NEVER be disappointed with anything you order! An absolute gem of a...
