This was one of the worst dining experiences of my life. I would give them a one but I have had previous favorable experiences at Panera Bread's elsewhere. I took my wife and my grandson here for a nice evening out, after putt putt. Jaxson wanted to go here. Each one of us placed our order and all 3 of us had to repeat our order, over and over. I got the feeling that the young lady's mind was somewhere else and that she really was not paying attention to us. I left the tip up front but now, I wish I hadn't. The bill was over $60. More than $20 apiece. I knew something had to be wrong. We finished placing our order at 5:40. In about 20 minutes they called my name and I came up, to pick up my order and they told me that they did not have the squash soup that we ordered. Since none of us ordered squash soup, I told them what we did order. And they would need to refund the unordered soup. The manager told me to come to the counter. I had to wait in line again. He lectured the girl for not getting my my order right but never bothered to apologize to the customer, (me)! When they went to give me the refund, they could not use the card that I ordered with. I have no idea why... He wanted to know if I had another card to use. I told him I should not have to provide another card, than the one that I paid with. So finally, he gave me the money back for the unordered soup. There was never an apology during this time, or any type of pleasant comment to make me feel better about being overcharged. After 35 minutes of waiting, I sent my wife up there. Because I was too annoyed to be pleasant and talk to them. They finally gave her the order after we had waited 40 minutes. And the order was not correct, ... again. I sent my wife back up there, to get the missing item. It was literally 45+ minutes before we got our completed order. What made it worse from my point of view is that: This unpleasant scenario happened, while the restaurant was not busy. Again, no apology or offer to try to make up for our inconvenience. It was 6:30, before we all had our food and we're able to eat. I had taken a new Panera Bread frequent diner card, because somehow my old one was not in their system anymore. And they may purge accounts, if you haven't been in a while. I get that..... But I decided to leave the frequent diner card there and not fill it out. I will not sign up for more awful experiences like this one. I had thought about letting the dinner be a Valentine's present early, for my wife. But it would just be an unpleasant memory. That's what...
Read moreMultiple incompetent employees. For starters, we gave our order at the drive up menu. They were out of several items already. We decided, then made our way to the window. The cashier did not even end up taking our full order at the drive up menu - i had to repeat my order at the window, extending our wait time. She then told us our order of 1 cup of soup, 1/2 grilled cheese, and 1 full sandwich would be $34. My eyes widened and I just said, "wowwww.. ok." And handed my card over. The cashier double checked her screen and giggled and said, "oops, $24." Yes. Funny.
We waited in the drive thru for 30+ minutes with only 1 car ahead of us (for about 10 min.) someone finally came to the window after another 10 min to tell us they only made 1/2 of one of our sandwiches when it shouldve been a whole, so they had to make another 1/2... so we waited, and waited. Finally the bag was delivered and I checked - three sandwiches were all labeled as a french onion blah blah blah ... I asked the cook, and was told those are just place holders (soooo what is the point then?)
I decided to check, and physically opened each sandwich and was absolutely appalled at what was on my sandwich. It was supposed to be the frontega chicken and each 1/2 sandwich had MAYBE 1/4 cup of filling. After waiting for 30 min, I decided that sandwich was not worth $12 and asked for a refund ... after having to repeatedly honk the horn to get someone to open the window again to service us. The first cashier who took our money put her hands on her face and refused to open the window. A totally different person, now a 3rd person, finally showed up - and I asked for my refund. He asked for the bag back - which had all our other food - so I said no problem, we will get a full refund.
The guy then proceeds to give me a $10 bill. For a $12+ sandwich, plus the rest of the food in the bag. For some reason, he did not seem to understand we wanted our full refund of $24.41, and tried to explain he was giving me a $10 bill and $2.41 in loose change for my sandwich. He finally got it together after i handed him my full receipt, and he proceeded to give me $21 in cash and $3.41 in loose change.
Do not waste your time or your money going here. Corporate, the management, and these employees should be...
Read moreI stopped by Panera Bread location at 1911 North Main Street in High Point, NC, on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 and on Friday, July 29, 2022. Both visits were mid-morning, 1000am and 900am, respectively. On each visit I ordered the Egg & Cheese Breakfast Sandwich and an Iced Tea. On my Friday morning visit, I added a Mixed Berry Yogurt Parfait. Having visited various Panera locations in the past, I was pleased to discover this recently built and recently opened location. The restaurant was fresh, clean, and offered lots of seating in a pleasant atmosphere. The counter staff was friendly and helpful on both visits. However, much to my disappointment on my Friday visit, I've discovered that Panera has dramatically changed its Mixed Berry Yogurt Parfait! Panera NO LONGER fills the plastic container with yogurt! It is now ONLY HALF FULL! And, Panera NO LONGER provides MIXED berries! Instead of sliced strawberries and blueberries that I've received dozens of times on previous Panera visits, I only received eight (8) blueberries and a drizzle of honey. Strawberries are no longer included. While it's possible the kitchen may have been out of stock of strawberries, which was never indicated by the kitchen staff, my biggest surprise was the cup only being HALF FILLED with yogurt and then charging $4.89 ($5.00 with tax) and to no longer provide actual MIXED berries (only one type, not two or three types, as implied by the word MIXED). This is a MAJOR disappointment that Panera has now cut the size of the portion of both yogurt and berries, in their Mixed Berry Yogurt, and still has the will-power to charge $5.00 for half of what was previously a decent side option for breakfast. I could have understood the size reduction, if accompanied by a price reduction to maybe $2.00 or $2.50. But to blatantly charge for one-half of the previous portion and place it into the same size cup as before, which made it look even smaller, is a total disregard for product presentation and customer value. As a Panera Card Member, this will ne the last time I visit Panera for a very long time to come. I'm saddened to see another company take another step toward...
