Iām writing to share a disappointing experience my classmate and I recently had at one of your stores. As nursing students, we often visit Starbucks not only for the great drinks but also because it's usually a welcoming place where we can focus and study.
However, during our recent visit, we were approached at our table by a Starbucks employee who told us we had to purchase a drink in order to stay. While we understand store policies, the way this message was delivered was unnecessarily rude and abrupt. What the employee didnāt realizeāor take the time to find outāwas that we were in the process of ordering our drinks using the mobile app.
Before we even had a chance to complete our order, we were made to feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, as if we were doing something wrong. The interaction lacked courtesy and professionalism, which really surprised us coming from a brand known for its customer experience.
We hope this feedback can be used as an opportunity for training and improving customer communication. A little patience and kindness go a long way, especially for students like us who already have full plates and visit Starbucks not only for coffee, but for a safe space to unwind and focus.
Thank you for taking the time to hear our concern. We truly enjoy Starbucks and hope to continue having more positive experiences in the future. I donāt plan on returning to...

For one, they are cheaper ($4.86 vs $5.07- which makes it handier when I use the Starbucks card - the lowest you can add at a time is $10 which would be 2 coffees at Plank Road), and secondly all the baristas at the Plank Road location are consistent, at least they all make my order correctly and the same way every time. The only thing worse than bad coffee is paying $5 for coffee and the barista (at the hwy 68 location) doesnāt get your order right. How hard is it to make a venti iced coffee with almond milk and cinnamon on top? Then the cashier at the drivethru gonna lie about the cinnamon on top?!! Itās obviously not there, but youāre insisting at first that he SAID he put it on top then, when I persisted, YOU SAW him put on top(?), itās obviously not there! On my last visit nothing was mixed, coffee on the bottom all the cream on top. Kind of hard to mix your coffee while driving⦠i did come through...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe guy who talks like the guy w glasses from the polar express has a huge attitude all the time. He is very RUDE and acts like a high schooler who got his first job. He rolls his eyes at customers and canāt even do the bare minimum. I would rather drive another 20 miles than go to this Starbucks again. The girl with the long curly brown hair in a pony tail also gives you dirty stares instead of greeting you nicely. The guy canāt even make the most basic drink off the menu. They act like itās a chore for them to do their jobs. If you ask a question or need assistance they will make fun of you instead of doing their jobs. Itās embarrassing for Starbucks to have such rude employees working there. Never been to a Starbucks that has such HORRIBLE customer service. If you want a drink that tastes like dirt and anything but Starbucks and want to be treated like a nuisance then by all...
