The Stubborn Buddha — Restaurant in Highlands

I cant believe Im still thinking about this a month later. It just insane when I pay $180 for three people, one glass of wine and the food isn’t cooked, the server is MIA, then reprimanded me for not letting him know. “Next time don't wait so long to let us know” literally- where were you?? I stopped another waiter just to het attention. We also had to ask for silverware. We ate thinking about coming back up and Ive already made a note to pack a cooler because our lunch was barely functional - $95 for three for meh. Our dinner was not great and the coffee was terrible. If you are billing yourself as an elevated community- you need to up the food game. Also- both the hostess at Stubborn Bull and stubborn buddah were hilariously arrogant, provided some good laughs- like we were asking to enter buckingham palace.Heres the other thing- all of these reviews- could have received outreach from the management or some kind of response- all could het a thank you or Im so sorry we fell short- but that fact that no one is actively engaged with reviews-...

We were really let down by this restaurant which we visited mid August. The prices are way out of line, a simple Pad Thai was listed at $36, which is hard to justify. The service didn’t help either, our server seemed more interested in chatting and sipping wine with the owner than paying attention to the tables. We had been recommended this place through Old Edward Inn & Spa, which had spoken highly of the restaurants they own, so our expectations were much higher. Unfortunately, the reality was noisy, disorganized, and unprofessional. As we were leaving, the owner didn’t even acknowledge us or ask about our experience, instead focusing on drinks and showing staff wedding dresses on her phone. The food was creative, full of flavor and definitely above expectations. We had the crispy rice, duck, pad Thai and spicy grouper. Each dish had its own flavor profile and fresh ingredients.
