6/19/23 FOOD As for the food. my nuggets were fresh and warm. Plenty of sauce was given. The drink sizes seem to have shrunk a tad.
SERVICE The young lady at the register was efficient and very polite. I didn't get her name but, she was on the short side and maybe in her mid 20's.
The kitchen seemed on the ball. My order came out in about 6 minutes.
ATMOSPHERE This was my first visit since the remodeling. Looks nice but, the former atmosphere was great. I don't see the reason for all the expenses. You could have left the play area where it was. You removed the self-serve drink fountain. Not a great move. If the store gets busy, it will be a pain to wait in line to get a refill. It was nice to have the TV. You kept it on a news channel most of the time. Nice because lunch diners could catch up on the News. Nice for those stopping after work because they too could catch up.on New. TV was nice on weekends because you could see a ball game while eating. Was nice during the basketball season because you could see the Spurs whole eating. Parking is not great. The lot is small and parking scarce when it gets busy. I do like that McDonald's has gotten away from the red/yellow color scheme. I also saw some stores going to lime green color. I am happy that that color scheme was a flash in the pan. Love the new colors at this store
This store is very clean.
Bring back the TV and the self-serve drink station and You'd be 5 stars worthy.
UPDATE
6/23/23 FOOD One star today. The nuggets were lukewarm. The fries were very cold. The fries were not fresh. The oil for flying was starting to get old. You need to change your ketchup to packets like Whataburger or Chick-fil-A. The packets you have are not the same quality and not as user-friendly. Change them to packets like your nuggets sauces come in.
SERVICE Four stars today. While she was friendly and efficient at the register, if she also bri gs the order to the table, she needs to see that the food is warm. Cook/kitchen staff get the majority of the blame for the cold food...
Read moreThis is THE WORST eating establishment I have ever been to, truly a joke to the term fast food. This particular experience, I pulled into the drive thru with no one in it. Saw there were no cars in the parking lot (should've been my clue)so I thought, great timing. This should go quick. Wrong! It took 3 long minutes before I was asked for my order, which included only a single cheeseburger. 8 minutes of waiting at the pick up window later, the manager, Dianne, hands me my lil bag with my one cheeseburger, and admittedly I'm irritated, so I proceed to tell her that was terrible service, and that was a ridiculous wait for one cheeseburger. No yelling, no cursing, no name calling. Just truth and facts Jack. The MANAGER, Dianne, then proceeds to tell ME how rude I am (the customer who expressed a complaint, rather civilly and respectfully I might add) and then proceeds to dramatically slam the window in my face! This is the point where I did just about lose it, and it took a great deal of woooosaaaah not to go in there and make a scene. But again, admittedly, she gained an ugly name from me. There have been a couple of instances before, with the same woman too, but I think I have finally learned my lesson to steer clear of this location. I would advise the rest of you to do the same. This McDonald's location is nasty, people and place alike. There are always a ton of those drain flies flying around the soda machine, it looks like they never clean the establishment, and they rarely have condiments/straws/napkins readily available. Please, save yourself the headache of this place!! I wonder how this particular location is still in business?? Look at their leader though... Dianne, if you ever read this, you should be embarrassed of how you handled that whole situation and it sounds like you need to learn a little more about how to carry yourself on a managerial level. It's about de-escalation, not antagonistic behavior. Good luck to whoever dares to step foot...
Read moreThe Brookhollow location has always been good to me. Always prompt, always correct order, always professional. So it is with a heavy heart that I write this review. My visit in the last hour was absolutely ridiculous. While ordering, Sidel was very clearly not listening to me. Having to repeat items and asking him to remove those I didn't ask for. when did I ask for a fanta? Never. That's when. When I arrived at the window, he didn't say a word to me, took the payment and handed it back while having a different conversation. 5 minutes later I reach the next window, the man at the counter was very friendly and I appreciated that. Here's where the actual complaint comes in. When I arrived home, excited about my meal, I dived right in to the Hot&Spicy McChickenTM; First thing that I noticed, it was dry, it was hard, it was severely overcooked, as were the other two I ordered for my pregnant wife. She was very upset by the way. I begrudgingly ate the whole sandwich, though I did it with a very unpleasent tear in my eye. Ontop of all of this, I can forgive it honestly. But the real kicker here is my 3 year old son, who loves chicken nuggets more than any other food in the entire world.. He ate ONE. He tried his best with his little words to explain to me why he didn't like them, he didn't even have a word for it. He was looking at his food that he loves, and didn't understand why he didn't like it. How do you overcook chicken nuggets to the point that the developing taste buds of a 3 year old boy can no longer comprehend why his favourite food is indigestible? You tell me. Thank you for taking the time to read my review, I hope my relationship with the Brookhollow location can be mended in the...
