I didn't like dark roast coffee, until I tried the dark roast from Bennett!
I've been drinking medium roast from the usual PDX roasters, because I've never found a dark roast that I enjoyed, and just assumed I was a medium roast guy. I was having lunch in the DT Hillsboro Main St area and wandered into the store (because coffee), struck up a convo with Mark, who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. On a whim, I got the Dark Roast Brazil bean, and the next morning, I was so surprised how much I enjoyed it! It was delicious! On top of everything else, it did not upset my stomach.

Read moreI don't know why I haven't written a review of this sweet little store! It is full of creations and foods made locally! It is an excellent place to get Portland Syrups, handmade dried pasta, specialty popping corn, locally made wines and, what am I forgetting? COFFEE! They roast their own coffee! It is always flavorful, but not as bitter as the ubiquitous mall shops. Their medium roast coffees make for an excellent espresso to drink with a locally made shortbread or any of the wonderful chocolates they stock. For your holiday gift giving, I can't think of a better place to find lovely gifts that support...
Read moreThis is not your 'general' Farm Store y'all! Wowie! It's a very open, light space with lots of amazing vegan options in the products they offer. They have an entire wine section, all very carefully curated products from mostly local vendors. Delicious products and snacks! The owners Mark and René are so wonderful and they know everything about every product they carry, I think they even know every vendor personally.
