Considering the cost, the ambiance, and the service, I have absolutely no intention of returning to this establishment. It's especially frustrating because my wife had been urging me to give it a try for the past couple of years, and I finally relented. Regrettably, it turned out to be a huge mistake.
Here's how it all unfolded: Following a family gathering with friends, we decided to grab a sit-down meal on our way home, and Elmer's was the only restaurant we hadn't sampled yet. So, the four of us, all adults, walked in with high hopes. Shortly after placing our orders, we even contemplated inviting more friends to join us since they were also hungry. I'm relieved I didn't make that call.
After a considerable wait, our food arrived, and it was a major disappointment. Half of our dishes were undercooked, and all of them arrived disappointingly cold. To add to the disappointment, none of our fries were properly cooked either. Our waiter never bothered to check in on us to see how everything was going.
Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a very long time. When it came time to settle the bill at the register, the attendant asked if we enjoyed our meal. I took the opportunity to express my dissatisfaction, detailing the various issues we had encountered with the food quality. I explained how only one of us managed to eat half of their meal without any major issues. The attendant apologized and mentioned that she would provide a discount to make amends. Grateful for the gesture, I accepted, but when I saw the amount deducted, it felt more like an insult than assistance.
A mere $5 discount on a bill exceeding $72 (not including the tip) for four people, where only one of us had a somewhat enjoyable meal, is simply unacceptable. I cannot justify spending such a substantial amount of money on an experience that falls far short of being even...
Read moreI really love going here for the dutch babies. The only place around I know of that makes them (Please please please correct me if I am wrong about this I would love to know!). Staff is always friendly and, one of my favorite times, my dutch was late because of something or other, and figuring I may not have time to finish it, kept the lemon and powdered sugar to the side. This being said they brought my about enough lemon slices to make up three lemons and the whole powdered sugar container. One of the things we have learned is DO NOT GO ON A HOLIDAY! We went on Thanksgiving to keep things simple. My grandmother is in a wheel chair and we requested a table. Simple. A nice young man took us to the assigned table, which was smooshed against a nice lady and her service dog and we would have been blocking the aisle if we had sat there. We asked if we could sit at a different empty table and the young man says sure and gets us all set up. My mom caught the (who I think id the assistant manager that I don't like) yelling at the young man for seating us at the wrong table. My mother went over to explain what had happened and after she treated us like garbage and still gave that poor kid a reprimanding he didn't deserve. Our waitress spent more time talking with a group of her friends that had come in to eat then paying attention to the rest of her tables, got our orders wrong, and couldn't remember ANYTHING to save her life. Do not go...

Sure enough she talk to Sal their food perp cook it took a little to get him on board and a little assurance that it would work and taste good without using pork, sure enough it turned out great. Special thanks to Amanda and Sal for taking care of my of request it is not every day one finds a company were their employees go above and beyond to take care of their customers. Forgive me I forgot too mention I had to order a full order of lasagne enough for seven meals, it feed six people everyone said it was good and there is some leftover for later. Enough for at least to good healthy size meals making the cost at just under 17.00 Dollars a meal still...
