HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE* I came in to get food for my kids and I. I ordered the kids' meal that is listed on the menu when you walk in. In several menus on the tables. The older cashier lady said she could not sell me the kids' meal to go as I had ordered all my meals to go. I told her that was fine and she could place the order for in-house as my child could eat there. Once the order was placed, a very disrespectful cook in a green beanie came out yelling that the kids' meal was not available to go. The cashier went in the back and told him the kids' meal was for eating there.

After several more minutes of him yelling at the cashier lady (I could hear him in the dining area) she came out and said that they no longer have kids plates and they could not give me the kids meal. She then changed her story and told me that they actually removed the kids' meal from the menu at the beginning of November, and they had not had the chance to change the menu.

Almost a month later, and they can't cross off the kids' meal of the menu? The cook was horrible. The cashier didn't bother to apologize for the issues. I offered to pay the difference for some extra broth and noddles I got instead of the kids' meal but because she was not trained properly on the POS system she could not charge me the extra $1.40.

I have not eaten the food yet and it's already left a nasty taste. This...

New comment (8/19/2025): since visiting past new ownership I have given this place 4 different tries, but unfortunately the broth is just not the same anymore. Unsure if the cooking of noodles has differed, or if they are a different type entirely. At first everything was too salty, but since my last 3 visits my ramen broth has been seriously lacking. The sukiyaki beef has gone from light and tender to bunched and chewy. The gyoza, as of today, was so overcooked and more fried all over than a proper crispy bottom. The salad the last two visits came without dressing and the bento without sauce. Music and K-pop is not played while dining, and the restaurant has lost its air. The new staff are attentive, and that is a plus, but I’m afraid this was our last visit for ramen. Unfortunate downgrade for sure. :(

Original comment: Great meal! We love that it offers both Ramen and Bento. The older woman who runs the store is very passionate and a pleasure to visit with! I personally order the Sukiyaki ramen every time. The price is just right for the portions and we usually can bring some home after filling up! We were also given a stamp card that allows us to earn free ramen. Authentic and welcoming, we have been back many times and will...

As an Asian American, I am accustomed to pan Asian food including Japanese cuisines. Having lived in Beaverton/Hillsboro area for 10+ years, I was super excited when Ninja Ramen opened up and I decided to try it out with my family. As we walked in, we were greeted by friendly & accomodating staff. They were knowleadgle in helping customers make satisfying choices from their decent menu selection (kid menu available). Laid-back, cozy ambience. The setting is extremely family and kid-friendly. Wait time was around 5 minutes, very fair and decent in my opinion. Food? We ordered three bowls of Ramen (spicy miso, ninja deluxe, and garlic tonkatsu) and a chicken karaage don. The bowls were a good size; broth was flavorful and mouth-coating with no MSG or artificial additives; temomi ramen noodles perfectly cooked. Chicken karaage (fried boneless marinated chicken) was perfectly seasoned with a taste of ginger and ponzu. My 4-year old was able to devour the entire ricebowl by himself. Coming here for a bowl of warm delicious ramen on a cold, soggy winter night totally hit the spot! Hands down one of our favorite go to Ramen restaurant...

First time here, just mine and one other table of people. Was given menus, but then the server waited 10 minutes to take our order...said he forgot about us. No worries, honest mistake. Ordered sausage (nothing special, but juicy), gyoza (great flavor, just wish they were slightly larger), Takoyaki (ok flavor, but mushy batter inside and only one small piece of 🐙), potato croquettes (perfect crunchy pillows of potato, great flavor, sauce very intense), chicken karaage (crunchy, greasy, spicy, flavorful...this would make an AWESOME base for a sando with a little rice vinegar tamari sesame oil marinated red cabbage on top), Ninja Deluxe Ramen (good flavor, but overly salty...dominated every bite), and TanTan Ramen (excellent flavors, spot on with this one). All in all, some home runs and some misses...will definitely be back again though.

This place use to be so good when the older Japanese guy had it. Obviously not the same owner anymore. It's not just the food that is horrific, but the place is so dirty and cluttered not to mention terrible customer service skills. The server literally treats you like it's a privilege to eat at this place. The chicken karage was the worst I've ever had in 50 years. It's all batter, gristle and chicken skin. Miniscule fragments of meat. The ramen broth has a sour note to it. Not enjoyable at all. The chashu pork appeared to look tender, but it was literally chewy and unrendered fat. I could not believe it. I left most of it behind after paying. Beaverton and Hillsboro have so many great Ramen places this one should definitely be passed.
