Nara Teriyaki — Restaurant in Hillsboro

Came here thinking they had ramen. Lol They don't. You go up to the counter to order. I got the chicken and noodle plate and it was pretty good but the chicken was only warm in temperature. I love a not super sweet teriyaki and this one is perfect! Our food came out fast. Too fast to have just been grilled after we ordered, but it was delicious. Our appetizer came out 2 minutes prior. The dressing on the salad is similar to ranch but I don't believe it's ranch. Everything was really good. Edit- As we sat at our table, I noticed how quickly people's orders came out after ordering. Food has gone downhill since Covid. Hit or miss, the chicken is sometimes dry. The sauce can be super watery (maybe they water it down?) Owner is clearly taking shortcuts somewhere and its affected the food. My biggest complaint: the older lady always has a terrible attitude whenever you ask for more sauce (they will hand you ONE extra sauce if anything…), any sides (as if you aren’t paying with your own money), etc. She will straight up make a stank face and huff and puff in your face. Hands down my favorite teriyaki joint. Being a white male I don't know how the stuff is culturally supposed to taste, but I feel as if it's pretty dang good. Their lunch specials are priced well and if you happen to drop in during the evening or order off the main bored opt for the noodles. The rice is pretty solid but they have amazing noodles as a side.
