Cafe Graziella — Restaurant in Hillsborough Township

The food is not terrible, but the service is HORRIBLE! The food took over an hour to arrive and waiters never checked on us to make sure we were doing OK. At the end of our meal we left a 12% tip. A day later we find out that they ended up charging to our credit card a 20% tip!!!! Naturally, we went back to Cafe Graziella to complain to the manager. He immediately started raising his voice to us saying that they can make mistakes as we could also make mistakes. Since when "good customer service" is telling your customer that they can make mistakes and be wrong??!! The manager was very unprofessional. At the end of the day we demanded our money back (+12% we had left, they do not deserve any tip), so we received back our money (we just paid for the food). We've been customers here for 25 years and always had a good overall experience. There has been a definite drop in customer service for some time now. We experienced bad service a few weeks ago for dinner, but chalked it up to a "one off". Then we returned with a party of 8 (and booked ahead of time). There was total indifference from the manager and wait staff. They sat us down and the wait staff didn't appear to take orders for 30 minutes. It was early in the evening and they were not even busy yet. I had to ask 3 times for a glass of water! They temperature in the room was near 80 degrees - maybe the AC was out, and we were dripping. Slow service and the food quality appears to have dropped as well. I can no longer recommend Cafe Graziella. Not a great experience from what was once a very nice...

Just had a repass meal there, food was ok, service was below any reasonable level. We unfortunately over estimated our number 40 which is fine. We would expect to pay for what they prepared. We had only 23 there were no leftovers to take except a tray of salad 4 pieces of chicken, one piece of veal. A small bowl of pasta and a small bowl of sausage and peppers. So they certainly didn’t cook for 40 and wouldn’t budge on their price. Again I have no issue with paying full price but I would expect to have food for 40. Really would not recommend this place to anyone for this type of need. Also the manager was gruff.
