I normally don’t leave reviews, but we had such a horrible experience here last night, I feel the need to let someone know. I’ve eaten at other Mellow Mushrooms and have always enjoyed my experiences. But yesterday just about everything went wrong and no one seemed to know what they were doing. We were there shortly before 5pm and there were very few patrons there. Initially, 2 out of 4 drinks were wrong. For our meals (party of 4), we ordered the pretzel bites app, 2 half salads, a sandwich, and a kids Mac n cheese. The appetizer was fine, but one of the salads was the wrong salad and the Mac n cheese was missing entirely. The waitress apologized and said she’d check. She took forever to come back , we asked 2 other waitresses to check as well, as ours was MIA. The 2 orders that were correct were just about done being eaten, when finally the correct salad was brought out, but still no kids Mac and cheese! The waitresses kept saying they would check. Eventually the girl came back and said “sorry there is a delay in making the pretzel”. But we weren’t even waiting on a pretzel! I told her we have been waiting on my 10 year old niece’s Mac and cheese. The waitress appears confused (even though we asked about the Mac n cheese 3 or 4 times by now). So the waitress finally brings out the Mac and cheese. Later during the meal this huge soft pretzel comes to our table, which we didn’t even order 😂, so we asked the girl to take it back. We ordered a cookie for my niece as it was her birthday and wanted to see if they’d put a candle in the cookie. The waitress said “oh yes, we can do that”. A different waitress brought the cookie out without a candle and when we asked her, she said “we don’t do that here”. It was a total bummer, and staff clearly not on same page. We asked for a to go box for SALAD and the girl brings a cardboard pizza box (?). The last straw was when the check came and they charged us an extra $4 for cheese sauce and another fee for marina sauce (I think 0.75) to go with the pretzel bites, which are listed as $ 9.75 on the menu. We didn’t even ask for marinara sauce and the menu clearly stated pretzel bites were “served with beer cheese sauce” for 9.75. If you are going to charge an extra $4 for 1/4 cup of cheese, it should be listed as such on the menu and it clearly wasn’t. I hope management can review this and work to improve...
Read moreI came here excitedly with my mom, niece and daughter. When we entered, there was no greeting and no one was attending the stand in the front. We decided to sit and wait. While we were waiting, an older caucasian couple came in the door. As the door was closing, a gentleman came to the front and proceeded to ask the couple how many? The woman told him that we were there first and he seated us. When we got seated, the couple was seated a few seats behind us. The server went to their table first and got their drink order. She then came to is and got our drink order. The couple also recieved their drinks and the server took their meal order before we got the first drink. I was extremely disappointed in this as we were there first. We decided to leave after more than 5 minutes passed and we still did not get any further service. I sat and thought for a while and decided to go back to ask for a manager. When I stepped back in to wait, the bartender and the first young man to seat us only looked at me, didnt ask if I needed anything or even day hello. After that I decided to leave and write this review. My family and I deserve great service just as much as anyone else. I believe in leaving good tips for good service and I'm thankful when it happens. This was the worst experience I have had in a restaurant in 2019. I dont want to think race has anything to do with it but I cant help but feel ignored by the non-service we received. Please take this review into consideration before patronizing...
Read moreWe’ve come to this location many times. Many times we order from there twice during the week. Tonight was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at any restaurant and after all was said and done, no one ever apologized. We ordered online at 5:40, which we have done many times before. We scheduled pick up time for 7:15. We left the house to go walk the dogs. At 6:40, we received an email saying there was a problem with our order. Something had gone wrong with their system and our order was cancelled. We didn’t see the message until we arrived at the store to find they didn’t have our order. The cashier could have cared less. When we talked to a manager she just said “ do you still want us to make your order?” Mysteriously they had the order. 40 minutes later our food was ready. Still no sorry or thank you for waiting, or anything. At 8:10 we received our order. At 9:30 they then called us to say they never received our credit card information and could we give it to them so our order could be paid for. I did, and still no apology.
Sadly, our food was marginal. We’ve supported this restaurant when we’ve been in town through all this Covid mess. Now our business will be going elsewhere. An apology goes a long way. Sorry Mellow Mushroom, your management staff tonight just cost you...
