I honestly hate to give one star reviews, but having former friends that works at McAllisterâs and knowing how operation should go from a management standpoint of you and cleanliness, this McAllisterâs locations failed beyond belief. They had maybe three people in the entire restaurant while 10 tables still werenât cleaned off. After waiting 10 minutes at the front for a employee to finally greet us She then proceeded to take our order. After taking our order, she didnât comes out and has to redo things because she forgotten, no biggie that happens. The part that was frustrating is what happened next, and employee comes out to the table about 30 minutes after weâve ordered and says that itâs gonna be a while before our potatoes come out because theyâve got to bake more spuds . Normally thereâs not an issue with some thing like that however itâs been nice to know that prior to the 30 minutes of already waiting but it was gonna be another 30 minutes to an hour before receiving food. My mother had a salad and a drink that never made it to her, after sitting another 30 minutes, after the girl told us it was going to be a while, I went to the front desk to ask them to just cancel the order. To which the front desk employee asked the manager if I could do that, to which I donât think she could hear me, but she made the remark didnât they just tell them that it was going to be a while. That was for the spuds not for the drinks or the salad but never found its way within an hour to the table or anything else. She seemed resistant and hesitant to even do the right thing and cancel the order pretty simple you would think. I can honestly say it was the most unprofessional, unfriendly environment, dirty, and poorly maintained establishment of a McAllisterâs Iâve ever been in traveling across the United States. The manager after an attitude and petty remarks voided the order then asked me oh did you get your drinks to which I said yes I received two out of three of them and she said oh well I accidentally voided those too .    Read moreI want to bring attention to the staff at this location, particularly the manager and the cook in the back. I came in with a party of seven, all of whom I work with at Fort Stewart. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the poor girl working the counter was being constantly berated by both the manager and what I assume was the cook in the back. It seemed like they were yelling at her for not bringing out plates fast enough, but honestly, it could have been anythingâthey were on her nonstop.
First off, besides cooking the food, what exactly were they doing? Because this young girl (who looked about 18 or 19) was doing everything. She was running the registerâduring the lunch rush, no lessâtaking orders, running plates, handling mistakes, and dealing with additional requests. Meanwhile, the manager occasionally stepped out to refill a drink or do something minor but otherwise stood back while barking at her in front of the entire restaurant. Another woman in the kitchen was also yelling at her from the back, and at one point, she came up next to the manager and loudly said, "Thatâs my Momma." Completely unprofessional.
If this were my restaurant, Iâd be embarrassed. If I were that girl, I would have walked out. Iâve been in the Army for 17 years, and I would never humiliate a soldier like that in front of their entire company. The Hinesville location clearly needs more staff and serious management changes because whatever this isâitâs unacceptable.
And just to top it off, I waited 57 minutes for a simple McAlisterâs Club. Maybe if they spent less time berating their only worker in front of the entire restaurant, service wouldnât be so slow.

   Read moreOn 1/29/25 at around 12:40 PM our office staff ordered 3 meals from this location. This location is normally slow, so we waited an additional 15 minutes past our pick up time to get our food. When we arrived, our food was no where to be found. We were told that we still had an extensive wait time despite already being there almost 20 minutes past the time it was supposed to be ready. We ended up being 1 of 3 other customers who asked for a refund so this wasn't just me being a "Karen." The manager refused to come out and address customer concerns and flat out refused to issue refunds. The manager was in the back yelling up front to tell her staff she wouldn't come out, dropping explicit language, refusing to give her name, the store number, anything that could be used to reach out to the owner/corporate. One couple had been waiting to speak with her for over an hour, another customer had been waiting 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile, she was right there behind the window where we could all see her staring at us all and still refused to come issue refunds. Not only was it unacceptable, but it was horrible to see the defeat and nervousness she was creating in her front staff by hiding behind them and refusing to come out and speak with customers.
