I dont know how to rate this: this specific review is NOT for the store but for the clientele. The store is clean, employees wonderful & friendly, drinks good.
I saw the most Karen thing ever and regret not saying something at the time, shamedly, so am posting here. Its 1:00 pm on a Saturday. A customers drink order was wrong, and when they asked for it to be adjusted, a female patron, late 50s early sixties woman dressed head to toe in Boston Strong & other political gear, skinny jeans, about 5 foot, brown hair, went up to the customer and started whisper-shouting "why don't you waste some more of everyone's time. Why don't you have your phone out (???) Whats wrong with you" and continued this way for a minute, coughed on them, and like, hissed? The mentally ill customers name was called, they grabbed their drink, and shouted HAVE A WEIRD DAY. And left.
It left me creeped out and feeling very unsafe. I wish I would have said something to the victim of verbal assault.
This is not the first time I have seen weird exchanges - only perpetrated by the customers-- agaim, employees are lovely-- at this specific location.
This is not starbucks fault in any way. But it made me feel disturbed and weirded out. I'll never return to this location because of this interaction. I think this location- because of the demographic it serves and its location- is prone to customers looking for a fight, who MAY be carrying firearms, and prone to inappropriate escalation.
Mental illness is everywhere, even (especially?) in the burbs. Be...
Read moreI cannot say enough how awful and rude and beyond just mean I am treated when I come and buy from Starbucks at this location. The managers are so rude knowing my family is all lawyers who come in and always order huge amounts from them; and told me word for word with a smile on her face " I don't care that you come back, we have plenty others". Then I was ignored over and over when I'd ask for an extra lid because the one prior broke. Anything asked for is 'oh my goodness it's so hard to do anything'. I'm ignored and the entire Starbucks sees this people waiting and in the cafe area .Not only the location is filthy and bathrooms are gross. The customer service is the worst I've ever seen. My whole family comes here for years, and spent so much money at Starbucks and I'm told 'i don't care' by a Manager... Wow, no words for management and customer service. This is ridiculous, after the situation there was a couple people who also left and also agreed how rude they were to me and they had been treated unprofessionally too. For a Hingham Starbucks this should be sincerely altered and properly trained workers. These many situations present the company so poorly and gives...
Read moreNormally we love this chain but this location was not as friendly as we are used to. The cashier was great! She and my wife talked through a couple suggestions for coffee and decided on one of those suggestions. That is where our visit went sideways. We received our coffees pretty quick and headed to the car. My wife took her first sip and the hot coffee was warm at best. She took it back to have them fix the issue and the barista gave attitude and excuses. The manager had to get involved and gave the simple resolution of "make it hotter" to the barista which one would think was common sense. The next coffee was much improved...
