Gyro City Grill – Hiram, GA ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you're anywhere near Hiram and craving something flavorful and satisfying, Gyro City Grill is a must-visit. What starts as a search for a good gyro quickly turns into a delightful surprise once you experience everything this place has to offer.
The Greek food is top-tier—generous portions, juicy meat, soft pita, and rich, creamy tzatziki. But what really makes Gyro City Grill special is the unexpected yet incredible addition of home-style Indian dishes on the menu. These aren’t afterthoughts or watered-down versions. The Indian food here tastes like something out of a home kitchen—warm, bold, comforting, and made with real care. It's rare to find a place that excels at two very different cuisines, but they’ve managed it beautifully.
A big part of what makes the experience so great is the team behind the counter, led by Andi, the manager. Andi is young, but don’t let that fool you—she’s doing an outstanding job running this place. You can tell she’s truly invested in making sure guests feel welcome and satisfied. She's friendly, professional, and brings a warm, personal energy that makes you want to keep coming back. It’s not often you see that kind of leadership in a casual dining spot, and it really makes a difference.
The atmosphere is cozy and laid-back, perfect for a quick lunch, a relaxed dinner, or even just picking up takeout. They’ve got a nice outdoor patio too—dog-friendly and great when the weather’s nice.
All in all, Gyro City Grill is one of those local gems you’re grateful to discover. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic Greek meal or some truly delicious Indian comfort food, you’ll find something to love here. And with Andi and her team at the helm, you know you’re in good...
Read moreWe'd heard that there were new owners of this restaurant that we have not visited since before the pandemic due to some less than great experiences. But we'd seen some better reviews in recent months, so we figured we'd try it again. The menu is still somewhat limited due to the grand re-opening, training of new cooks, and overall limited staffing as so many restaurants suffer from currently. That being said, we were greeted promptly in a friendly manner and given our choice of seating. We were having an early dinner while several other folks were placing to go orders throughout our dining experience. We decided on the Greek Burger (for her) and the Gyro Platter for myself. The food arrived a short time later fresh and hot, and in generous portions. My wife enjoyed her Greek Burger and fries. And my platter came in a much larger portion than I expected for the price point. The beef/lamb mix of meat was piled high on two large pita slices, mixed with some tomato and onion, and seasoned to perfection. It was garnished with a dollop of tzatziki sauce. All of this arrived with a very small Greek salad and a very large portion of fries as the sides. The flavors were all amazing. As crazy as this sounds, I'd personally prefer to have a bit more salad and a lot less fries. I also needed to request an extra amount of tzatziki sauce, but that's also according to my personal tastes. I told our host/server that we'd return again soon to try some different menu items. He was also welcoming to any and all suggestions I offered on site. I wish the owners much success with this establishment. Keep doing what you're doing, and we'll...

We were seated and they brought out what I presume was a sampler platter that had hummus on one end, cabbage in the middle, and a pasta type salad on the other end. Every item was delicious!!! 😋
Next they brought out 2 cups of lemon chicken soup... And I'm pretty sure this was before we even placed our order!! 😲 Hubby loved the soup, I wasn't a fan.
Finally, our order came out and we both almost fell out of the booth! The portions were GYNORMOUS!!! Yay... Leftovers!!!
While I had trouble managing my gyro due to its size, it was PHENOMENAL!!! 😋💕 My platter had green beans (YUMMY!), Greek potatoes (YUMMY!), and a massive gyro that was outstanding and took me 3 days to finish!! The green beans added to a baked sweet potato gave me a 4th meal. I love it when we go out to eat and end up bringing home enough leftovers that I don't have to cook for 3-4 days!!! 😁👍
My husband's platter had chicken, beef, and lamb sish-ka-bobs on a mountain of rice with a variety of sauteed veggies. He was impressed not only with the bursting flavor but the "massive carnage" that was presented to him. I can't wait to go back!! I've been craving that gyro!!!
They also have a very impressive dessert display but we were too stuffed to even consider dessert.
