Hot House Pizza — Restaurant in Hoboken

The unfortunate thing about this place is that the pizza is fantastic. We live in the neighborhood and have given them multiple tries but the staff are extremely rude. The first time they messed up was on a delivery. We ordered the Buffalo chicken pizza and a pepporoni pizza and they gave us chicken parm pizza and a cheese pizza. (Side note: The chicken part isn't half as good as the Buffalo chicken.) We called in and they said that they would give us free pepperoni but not an redeliver the right pizza. After complaining they said they would deliver a pepperoni pizza but to save the cheese pizza and they would pick it up when they delivered the other pie. I let them know that we had already eaten some (we were starving because the delivery took longer than quoted) and they gave us a hard time but said they still wanted the rest back. (Side note: never eat by the slice because I probably took a bite of the one that was next to it in the box). They also wouldn't replace the chicken parm because they said it was the right pizza (somehow we were wrong in that?). Tonight we stopped by and ordered a buffalo chicken pizza. They gave us a BBQ pizza. I let them know and they gave us a hard time again and finally said they'd make the right pie. We had them deliver it and the damn thing was a chicken parm that had hot sauce poured all over it. It was terrible. I attached a picture to show what it looked like. And again, even though wed each taken a bite out of a slice they had us give the pie back to get a new one.

Bottom line is that mistakes happen but as the customer, I should be given the benefit of the doubt. And not only does the staff blame you for mistakes and make you feel very uncomfortable, they don't Ryan to make things right to ensure you're satisfied in the end. It wasn't just once it's been multiple times. We are really upset because it's a neighborhood pizza joint and the cafe is AWESOME but this one must not be run by the same people (Lisa?) otherwise I'd expect much better service and quality. I have ordered from this place several times and have had conversations with the owner Steven. Today we ordered through Slice decided to treat the kids to pizza for an end of school reward so we ordered 2 pies from hot house and they were NEVER delivered to us. Called the store and was hung up on. I went to the store and spoke with Steven who says now that he’s just a worker at the store not the owner said the pizza was delivered and that we would have to get the money from Slice yet Slice said vice versa. I asked to speak with the delivery person to see who it was “delivered” to he would not allow me too meanwhile the entire time I was there no delivery person came in or out of the restaurant. My son stood outside for an hour waiting no one came with a delivery no one called to confirm the delivery. There was no apt number on the pizza so where was it delivered to? The customer service received by Steven was horrible and unprofessional as he and his workers decided to speak in their language and laugh as we tried to get this situation resolved. To no avail we did not receive a refund nor did they offer to replace the 2 pies. I am not a dishonest person nor would I waste my time or anyone else’s trying to get over for anything that I received or didn’t pay for. We (myself or any of my family/friends) will never spend any of our money here again over a simple $27.24 resolution…..it’s...

Great pizza - not so great service.

Ordered a pizza last night at 8:30pm, by 10pm it still hadn't arrived (I live 20 minutes drive from the pizzeria).

Calling slice, they claimed that the pizzeria had told them that they had just sent the pizza out the door "with their own delivery driver."

Bit of a recurring theme - seems like they just aren't very fussed about whether their pizza deliveries are actually delivered.

Phenomenal pizza, but if you are absolutely CRAVING your pizza and you can't go to pick it up, I'd recommend looking somewhere else. There's nothing that is heartbreaking in the same way as having your pizza order never...
