This is a very relaxing and clean green area that’s simultaneously bustling. If you’re looking for a place to be around good energy and not in solitude, give it a try. It’s usually filled with babies and puppies, which can be great for mental health. It’s also easy to social distance here as there are lots of built in seating as well as ad hoc ones (aka the ground). Do note, there’s designated areas for furry friends as dogs are not allowed on certain parts of the grass.

Plenty of benches and seating and this park is rarely busy. Usually with nannies and moms with a stroller and small sized dogs going to/from the dog park attached. It’s a nice urban park. There aren’t too many children most likely due to the high volume of vehicles that cut through between Hoboken and Jersey City. Nonetheless it’s a well placed and needed space. Oh, and you can definitely hear the pickleballers!

I took my kids here for quick individual workouts during the COVID-19 pandemic. There's a lot of open space so we were able to put together comprehensive combinations of calisthenics and fencing footwork.

A town square but it's not actually in the center of Hoboken. It's the Southwest Park because it's a public plaza in the southwest corner of the city. It's last green space you see before you exit the city on Harrison Street, and the first you see when you enter the city from the Jersey Avenue entrance. Surrounded by modern condos and one building left over from the city's industrial past on the southern edge, it's an oasis with quiet nooks amid the bustle of...

They did a nice job and it actually has water retention capabilities underground for flooding. My problem with this park is that the city tried to force out a local small business just to build this park and removed a massive parking lot to build this park. Further eliminating parking in this city. But it looks nice, there's a dog park that you can hear people yelling at their dogs all day, and there's a solar powered phone...
