Absolutely amazing! Thomas Ice Cream Cafe is hands down the best ice cream spot in Hoboken. From the moment we walked in, the service was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely top-notch. The staff clearly care about the customer experience and take pride in what they do.

Now, the ice cream—wow. You can really taste the quality in every scoop. Rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, it’s clear they use premium ingredients. I tried a couple of unique flavors I haven’t seen anywhere else, and each one was better than the last.

Whether you're a local or just passing through, Thomas Ice Cream Cafe is a must-visit. Incredible service, outstanding ice cream, and a cozy vibe that makes you want to come back again and again.

It was nice to try a local place, and support a local business owner. As other reviewers have noted, there’s definitely opportunity to improve on the first-impression front, but that didn’t bother me, really, it has a personality. What did slightly disappoint though was the cost for the quality of product. For the prices charged, I might expect a more flavorful ice cream. Sadly, it was so sweet that I couldn’t taste the flavor too much (black cherry). Also it was already melting when they were scooping it out so when they gave it to me the texture was super off. Really love the ice cream (particularly the Nutella Oreo…so good!), I just wish the hours were more reliable and updated on Google. We had some friends in from out of town and tried to take them there after dinner (9pm) on a Thursday, but the guy working had locked the door and turned the lights off in the window, even though sign says they close at 10pm. Wasn’t super thrilled to see us, so we left. Tried to go tonight, but turns out they’re closed Monday-Wednesdays now. Also, opening hours are now 2pm, not 1pm.
