As a usual patron of McDonald's, I value their quick and dependable service. However, my recent visit to the Holbrook location was far from satisfactory. My order included a nugget bundle box and four 20-piece nuggets. This visit was unfortunately memorable for the wrong reasons.
Firstly, the fries in our order were cold, a surprising slip in quality. A more significant issue was that our order was short by 60 nuggets. The nuggets we did receive tasted stale, a deviation from the fresh quality we expected.
Upon contacting the shift manager, I was disheartened by her apparent annoyance at having to address these issues. Her demeanor seemed unaccommodating, both during our call and when I returned to the restaurant, which was disconcerting considering the circumstances.
Even after the staff attempted to correct the order, the replacement meal still did not meet McDonald's usual standards. The second batch of nuggets and fries also tasted as if they had been sitting out for a while.
The total 40-mile drive to get this meal made the experience even more frustrating. Not only was the food quality consistently poor, but the customer service aspect, particularly from the shift manager, was not up to the mark.
This feedback is intended to help the Holbrook McDonald's improve its service and food quality. Regrettably, based on this experience, I am hesitant to return or recommend this...

Now if you read some of my reviews, proper orders and prompt service are important. 'K' and I have been looking forward to trying their Szechuan Sauce and I wanted to try McD's new app.
So off we go to Ronaldland, smartphone at the ready.
First - the app is useless if you are out of the stores zip code. Just keeps saying, NO can't order.
Next - So we get in range to order, selection system is OK, but customization is poor. Wendy's is much better.
Then - We finally transmit when we are almost on top of the store. This store has a 2 to 1 double drive through, which is really mindless and I never use.
Next - 15 minutes wait, order comes out, lots of nugget slowed the order?
Then - Ask how many Szechuan Sauce? 9 the kid says, OK .
Then - asked for unsweetened tea, got sweet. Had to take back into store.
Next - We got home and unloaded on the dining room table. . . 8 sauce, short med. fry.
So, in the end, McDonald's App. is mostly useless, if you getting food here it's better to go inside and ask for a togo order, check it as it's filled, remind them to put it in bag since it TO GO. Fill your own drinks. . . So you know what is in them.

We were there 15min before breakfast orders stopped - but then the machine didn’t work and when we reached the counter they said they couldn’t make breakfast items any longer. I explained that we were there before 10.30 and that the only reason we couldn’t order was because their machines didn’t work and we had to wait in line. And then she just replied “I don’t know about the machines” - ehm ok, but then who does? It’s your store - find a manager maybe, or someone who does. And they refused to make breakfast items even though we were there before it closed and the only reason we didn’t make it was because their machines malfunctioned. They also didn’t have any vegetarians options on the menu - it’s 2024 - seriously! Worst customer service ever. No indoor playground for kids either. AND they have a sign on the wall saying “Time limit: 30mins” (see picture) - I mean will they throw out paying customers if they eat their food slower? Never saw that in any other McDonalds. So tacky. Would highly recommend you go to the Taco Bell on the other side of the road instead - they have a big selection of vegetarian options and much kinder personnel...
