Don Miguel — Restaurant in Holland Charter Township

My wife and I are at Don Miguel's for dinner. It's about 5:30 pm on Monday afternoon. Accessibility: Parking is available in front of the restaurant along with handicap parking and only the slightest of inclines. The restaurant is busy with many take out orders as well. Restroom: Men's had some stains on the floor, but clean overall. Environment: Very casual, there are some wheeled carts, along with metal and plastic buckets on the floor. There are also a few large interesting plants. Some remodels may be warranted, just my opinion. Food flavors: Food flavors are spot on. The refried beans are excellent. The fried rice could use a bit more spices. The ground beef tacos were also very good along with the barbacoa burrito. I would give the food and flavor a solid five stars. The chips and salsas(plural) were delicious and are probably homemade. My wife really liked the avocado and green tomato salsa. Gluten friendly. Taco Tuesday: This site is extremely budget friendly. We went this past Sunday and had awful service. We went with our baby and as most people know, they have pretty short attention spans so he was great when we got there, unfortunately it took over 45 min to get our food, we had to ask when it was coming out. Our son started to get Hangry as did I, our server wasn't even in the room for that entire time, no refill of water-even when our food eventually came, no refill of chips and salsa. Once our food came, my husband said his burrito was ok, but I really did enjoy my carne asada tacos, they were delicious so it's unfortunate the service sucked. No apologies, I wish there was at least a warning when we sat down that they may be a little behind today-because apparently two people called in. If that's the case then you should be over compensating and giving amazing service to make up for it being slow.
