Very nice & clean upon entering. The mushrooms are amazing. The grilled chicken salad was just lettuce, tomatoes, cheese & chicken. It wasn't a large salad for 14.00 and was just ok. The lite perch was undercooked - was wet not crisp. The perch was not fishy tasting at all and there were three pieces along with 2 sides. I had fries which were hot & crisp and a side salad. The side salad was ample size. The loaf of bread was excellent and came warm. Our server was good & personable as we're all the employees. Not sure about a return trip as it wasn't impressive enough to leave us excited to go back.

It’s been a long time since I last visited James Street Inn, but it was still a popular spot when I stopped by. Despite the crowd, the staff was very friendly and attentive, and the food arrived quite quickly. I had the small size wet burrito, but it was still sizable. It tasted great and had plenty of toppings and fillings. The chips and salsa that came with it were a nice addition. This restaurant has been around a while, and the full crowd on Saturday night suggests that it should be around for many more years.

Phenomenal place! Went there for dinner tonight and ordered the baby back ribs. I got so much food and had to bring back about half of it even though I had came very hungry. The barbecue sauce was amazing and the meat was very tender. I also received a very tasty warm loaf of bread with my meal. We sat on the patio which had a very quaint atmosphere. Finally, our server was a very nice young man with great manners and a warm smile. Definitely recommend!

The grilled cheese cheese burger is really good and fancy. It’s a cheeseburger with grilled cheeses as the buns. However, I propose we go bigger. The grilled cheese cheese burger cheese burger: a grilled cheese cheese burger with grilled cheese cheese burgers as the buns. So it would be grilled cheese, patty, grilled cheese, patty, grilled cheese, patty, grilled cheese. Or, even bigger: the grilled cheese cheese burger cheese burger, a grilled cheese cheese burger cheese burger with grilled cheese cheese burgers as the buns. Grilled cheese, patty, grilled cheese, patty, grilled cheese, patty, grilled cheese, patty, grilled cheese, patty, grilled cheese, patty, grilled cheese, patty, grilled cheese, patty, grilled cheese. Or maybe, the grilled cheese cheese burger cheese burger cheese burger cheese burger with extra cheese, held together with an entire sword instead of a steak knife. Now, the problem would be that it would be almost impossible for anyone to eat this whole, without the ability to unhinge their jaw like a python. Which is why it should be split into sections, using a grilled cheese cheese burger as dividers for like 4 different parts. Though, of course, then you would just have a grilled cheese cheese burger cheese burger grilled cheese cheese burger grilled cheese cheese burger cheese burger grilled cheese cheese burger grilled cheese cheese burger cheese burger grilled cheese cheese burger grilled cheese cheese burger cheese burger grilled cheese cheese burger, held together with a sword and a statement from your medical insurance letting you know they’ve stopped covering you. Of course, this would be devastating news, but no sorrow can’t be eaten away with enough grilled cheese...

We live by here this is only the 3rd time here, first time we had breakfast yrs ago that was alright (I think!?) then couple yrs ago or so we came for lunch/dinner, I had a mushroom Swiss burger, I remember thinking this burger doesn't taste a thing like a mushroom Swiss burger and it is null and void of flavor, the beef is not seasoned at all!! And I didn't like it then, fast forward couple yrs or so and I was stupid enough to go in here AND order the same tasteless burger, my husband did not like his either, we would have told the waiter we didn't like our food and left our food (we could tell we didn't like it right away) BUT we were with our autistic daughter and she would have melted down if we left to go somewhere else! SO DISAPPOINTED! We are onw income and to pay practically $50 for tasteless greasy food, well just mad! Won't be back!! We don't have $50 to through away! On a side note the waiter was nice and did well and so did the teen...

It’s very casual dining . The style seating left us feeling very exposed in the middle of the room. . The lights are very bright. Food was ok. Unfortunately the food was disappointing . We ordered a med rare steak with no mushrooms ,it was well done & had mushrooms. The steak seemed to not be seasoned. Bland. We ordered the perch special . It was just ok. The tartar sauce was warm , the coleslaw was too and had a bad after taste. The fries were good. We also tried a variety platter of onion rings, mozzarella sticks and fried mushrooms. Some of the mushrooms were dry. The mozzarella sticks were good. Mini garlic bread was good. Expensive for the low quality. Not anything to warrant a second visit. Maybe we caught them on...
