My experience at the Taco Bell in Holland, Michigan, was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. As an exhausted older customer, I just wanted to place my order, pay, and get my food the old-fashioned way—by talking to a person. Instead, I was forced to use a confusing touchscreen kiosk, which felt like a complete abandonment of customer service. I don’t understand why they can’t just use their register to take orders like they used to. To their credit, there was an employee willing to help with the kiosk, but that misses the point entirely. If staff are available, why am I, an older patron who’s not comfortable with technology, being pushed to do their job for them? I was tired and just wanted simple, human interaction to get my meal, not a struggle with a machine. Forcing elderly customers to use kiosks is thoughtless and alienates those of us who value personal service. This location clearly cares more about cutting corners than respecting its customers. Read moreI have been going to this location for about a year and unfortunately this location is very prone to issues. It's not uncommon for them to have technical issues like being only able to accept cash. I'm not sure if they are often restaffing in the kitchen as I only interract with the drive thru staff, but it's rather common to have issues with your food in my experience. I.e. today I ordered a sausage crunchwrap and they put steak in it instead of sausage. To my knowledge, that's not even on the menu. When the grilled cheese burritos were on the menu, about 5 or 6 times someone had put a lot of lettuce and tomatoes in the burrito, which is not even an option on the menu. They seem to be rather accident prone in making food in some rather bizarre ways. The staff at the window are usually very kind and nice, so that's always been a plus. I probably will not be returning to this location anymore as these issues have continued for almost a year now. They have forgotten order items on multiple occasions and forgotten to give a receipt, which makes fixing an order that much more difficult. Not only do they forget food, but when we ask them to fix the mistake, they seem unwilling to help us. Terrible window etiquette, horrible drive-thru service, and no customer service skills makes for a bad visit. When we pulled around to get our missing food items this time, the woman at the window acted confused and asked us to repeat our request three times before finally going back to retrieve the food. Then, a man came to hand us our bag, shoved it roughly through the window, and shouted "next time, stop at the speaker," and left without another word. "Yes, you too! Have a nice night!
