Starbucks Coffee Company — Restaurant in Holland

I love the staff at this this Starbucks location. Great coffee, conscientious, clean, predictable—recommended.

In the past I was compelled to leave a less than excellent review (below), but I haven't had that type of experience for a long time and my opinion has changed as a consequence.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I love this Starbucks location, and the staff and coffee are mostly excellent. However, I was compelled to leave a less than excellent review because today, for perhaps the fifth time, I arrived hours before close (today, 7pm before a 9pm close), only to find the door locked and lobby closed. As far as I can tell the lobby gets closed early on an unpredictable basis. I am not sure the reason (short-staffed?) but I do know that I count on a business being open the hours it has posted. I don't think it's reasonable to expect customers to call ahead every single time to check if the lobby is open — which is apparently what is necessary at this store. I hope the location will either keep to its hours in all respects including the lobby, or else will post separate lobby hours so that customers know...

Something should happen at this location to fix in store wait times.

Yesterday I was the only one in store ordering. 7 minutes after the order was placed I asked if it got lost. The barista said, "nope, it's coming up". Another 7 minutes later my two drinks (quad espresso and cold brew) are not ready and the barista is changing the nitro cold brew. At that point so many drinks have been made and I ask to get a refund. The person in charge at the time comes and also was the one who rang me up, says, "it's almost ready". It took 16 minutes from order to walking out with no one in the store.

We are back today. I told my husband we should do drive thru. He said there was only a few people in the store let's go inside. Today, for one drink with four people in front of us we are at 25 minutes from completing our order and no drink (a quad espresso (.

No apologies, no sense of urgency, just a comment around how the same person is doing mobile orders and in store orders.

I went to get coffee yesterday morning before work and when I pulled up to the window I noticed the cashiers were laughing to each other. I didn't think much of it, so I took my coffee and went to work. Once I got to work I was drinking it, and I felt a hair in my mouth. I pulled it out thinking it was one of my hairs since it looked like my hair color, and continued drinking my coffee. I then pulled another hair out of my mouth, took the lid of my drink, and mixed it together. When I pulled my straw out there were multiple pieces of hair stuck to it, and the more I looked the more I found. I called the store and told them what was going on and they offered to make me another drink, which I declined. I don't want to think it was intentional, and at the time I didn't, but the more I think about it the more I think it may have been. I am just not sure why, as I have always been super respectful and nice when I go there for coffee, and this time was...
