Shane's Rib Shack — Restaurant in Holly Springs

My wife and I came in to order food last night 1/1/21 the food was very good we enjoyed it, but the customer service was terrible. The young lady taking our order did not seem like she wanted to be there at all. After we ordered she continued to stand around and talk to other workers it seemed like. The girl who took our order, her hair was brown and she was sorta taller, and had a high voice the name on our receipt was "ANNA" so we are assuming this was her. THIS IS NOT A GOOD WAY TO START OUT THE YEAR SHANES! If we come back it would only be for the food.

3/14 UPDATE - Stopped by this location yesterday evening because we needed a quick dinner on the way home. It was very busy but we did wait to long for our order! my wife and i were very impressed on how fast our orders were coming out. The manager was super sweet, mentioned the new sandwich that was being sold, Only thing negative (feedback) I would have to say is, I wish there was more bacon on the new Pork Melt Sandwhich- but I do understand that that is something that can probably be changed by the stores?? The manager last night brought us our food to our table as quick as possible and did not leave until we had all the sauces we needed! - Asked to speak to the manager after we got our food and was told she was the manager in the Army cap ( GO ARMY) but another one was also in the building there, and asked if there was a problem. ( Also a plus, is seeing staff supporting) I just wanted to let everyone know to come to this location!!!! Response to owner: Yes, that is what I’m saying, that you messed up and give me fried wings. How do you really expect me to return the wings or take a picture when you respond the next day? That makes no sense at all. Yes, I said I’ve had legit smoked wings at your restaurant. But these last two times you’ve either given me the wrong thing or these smoked wings are different than what you’ve done before and simply aren’t up to par. They don’t have the texture, taste or feel of smoked chicken. They are greasy and overly crispy like a fried wing. You’ve been serving fast food bbq for 15 years, cool. My family has been in the bbq business for over 40. Not that that makes me an expert, but the “seniority” argument isn’t gonna work on me. I know what smoked wings are. Also, I happened to read through the reviews and see one from two years ago where somebody says they were served smoked wings that they did not believe were smoked at all, so you can’t say you never gotten that complaint. You responded with the same “maybe you were given fried by mistake” explanation to them too.

I ate with my son and wife on a Monday afternoon around 2PM. I should have known something was up when we received our food within 4/5 minutes,. My son said the chicken tenders were very bland , only ate half. My wife asked when ordering for the hottest wings possible. They came out with very mild sauce, when I asked for some hot sauce on the side they brought a tiny cup maybe enough for one wing. I ordered the BBQ Platter, the pork was disgusting it was a pile of mush. I was extremely hungry so I ate some of it. On the way home ( 30 minutes later ) I felt like I was gonna throw up. I ended up taking some nausea medication and slept for 3 hours. Also, please hide the cook in the kitchen he came out and looked like he hasn't had a shower in a month. Don't waste your money on this garbage. Owner, no point responding and trying to defend yourself, I have read your responses to other bad reviews and rather than telling everyone they should have asked for the manager ( if the food was any good we wouldn't have to ) you get very defensive rather than tell folks your plan on fixing this disgusting food. We could have went across the street to Zaxby's and saved $ and had much better food. My advice to you is to find a different business because you sure as hell can't deliver on good food.
