My wife previously responded for me. I was not able to respond because I was feeling so sick. I ordered a Cuban pastry and the wax paper was still attached to it. Not having noticed it, I ate half of the paper that was attached and showed the elderly woman behind the counter what I had discovered. She began joking about it of course I did not find this funny the manager said to me, not to worry because that paper was edible. I was very upset and asked if they were going to charge me for it insisted that I pay for it so I did. Moments later, when I arrived home, I began experiencing severe stomach pain and explosive diarrhea Leading to projectile vomiting. As we had mentioned before this Restaurant cannot continue to poison people as there have been previous comments about expired meets being sold there. I resent the response from whomever is writing the responses for them. As I am certain, they were not there to witness what happened. You responded that I was upset that you insisted that I pay you for the disgusting pastry you sold me. $1.90 isn’t going to take me to the poor house. It is a matter of principle! It’s a new vendor I’d never tried before, with a small pickup window tucked near the railroad tracks on Pembroke Road near West Dixie Highway.
I happened to be in the neighborhood, grabbed my order, and ate in the car. I also treated myself to a delicious perfect café con leche ☕. Next time I'll get a large.
They gave me a bag of fresh goodies that was way more than expected — fresh, flavorful, and not greasy at all.
The crusts were perfect, the fillings delicious and flavorful, and I didn’t even get a stomach ache (rare for pastries!).
It’s a small, clean, family-run spot. They don’t speak much English, but my translation app worked fine and the service was warm and kind.
I’ll definitely be going back — highly recommend supporting this local gem!

The sandwich received the standard pressing treatment and was given to me in a brown bag. The sandwich was neatly wrapped in wax paper.
The taste was good and the flavor of the ham was more pronounced than the cheese. The flat croissant tasted good and my stomach was satisfied with the sandwich alone, so I skipped the guava pastelito....
