December 2022 Update: one star because if you don't speak spanish, you are shit in this restaurant. Only spanish speaking illegal immigrant workers will scam you the moment they realize you don't speak spanish. I stopped on taco tuesday evening, manager was out, I confirmed any taco for $3. In the past I had excellent experience with food and people. Now I was at mercy at only spanish speakers. So I ordereded one of each: chicken, steak, barbacoa, shrimp with veggie, 2 veggie tacos, side of rice and side of beans. a few minutes later waitress comes, veggie are 50 cents more and shrimp, $1 more. I say no problem, i'll pay extra. she charges me. previous week on same taco tuesday deal, i paid $3 for veggie taco, english speaking manager was there, it was fine.. this week veggie more expensive than meat.. anyways, another 5 mins later waitress comes, the cook won't make on one shrimp taco because it would be waste of vegetable.. i said, ok, make two shrimp..a few minutes later waitress comes back, the cook won't make two, i have to order three..i said, ok make three shrimp, 1 steak, 1 chicken, 1 veggie.. then she rambles again, it needs to be three of each kind..and I'll have to pay yet additional fee.. Now I already paid over $25, i could have ordered a three taco with rice and bean entree for $12.. I am already overpaying.. Then i just lost my appetitle, I said give my money back..then they said the manager wasn't in to refund on card and at that point i wasn't going to leave without my money.. so at least they gave me cash back. i am noticing more and more, all spanish speaking customers try to scam non-spanish as much as they can.. really messed up mentality.. go back to mexico...
I had the 3 steak tacos entree. Tacos were very good, small but with enough meat and flavorful but lack of condiments. Yes these were Mexican street tacos but I like to add red hot sauce, or the tomatillo sauce. No tomato to add. It kinda felt one dimensional flavor. Good but not wow. Rather go mi Casita in Boca and get bistec mexicana. This place is pricey too. On taco Tuesday night, coke and taco combo costed me $20 without tips. Not...
Read moreOkay, okay… what make me think that I could go to a Mexican place to eat pizza or for my son to other fettuccine Alfredo? Oh well, when you hungry everything it’s possible! You don’t think clearly and this it’s what happened 😒 we start we horchata that it was super delicious, best in town , agua de Jamaica that I was in the watery side but what the heck , was agua de Jamaica not juice of Jamaica right ? They bring chips and salsa , delish! I order calzone , can’t complain not good not bad but since I was hungry I only ate half. But the fettuccini ( I guess they didn’t know the difference between fettuccine and penne pasta) was watery , not creamy or you could said cheese either. I told her I don’t want the pasta because it was hard and she told me if I wanted to go. Huh??? For what? I ask for fettuccine Alfredo no penne Alfredo , creamy no watery no hard if any case al dente and no I don’t wanted to take it home! My son was hungry and wanted to eat it there. Anyway, I told her to change it tooooo… guess what??? I’m at a Mexican place , realized that after the fact they can’t cooked pasta ! Well could I have carnitas tacos , two hard and one soft? They bring me 3 greasy medium cook tacos with a microwave reheat yellow rice and a half paste beans. No refried beans , half beans half mash!! Then I told her to pack it up I’m taking this one to go , realize no matter what I ask they not going to cook it the right way. At this time second plate back, not happening. I ask for the check and boooommmm Surprise !!! Good for me , who said that a Mexican place you could eat pizza or penne Alfredo ? I mean I order fettuccine , I even forgot that !! My confusion...
Read moreI came to this location while on vacation with my boyfriend and friend. Although I was skeptical to eat at a Mexican restaurant that sold pizza, I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea since this place is known in town as having great food. Not to mention, I love pizza. When we first entered, I noticed the set up was like walking in a Mexican restaurant. We were greeted with a very nice woman who gave us chips and salsa. We then looked over the menu while she went and got our drinks. Then it was time to order our food. We initially ordered some variation of a supreme pizza. And when the pizza came, it wasn't exactly what we ordered but I didn't care because it tasted amazing! It was hands down the best pizza I ever had. Most places sell pizza and claim to have the best. Yet, the sauce is sour and the ingredients are sliding off the pizza before you could even eat it. But Taco Taco Pizza Pizza had their ingredients cooked into the pizza. So, I could hold my slice of pizza upside down and NOT ONE ingredient fell off. I also noticed that their pizzas are made in a brick oven (almost like authentic Italian pizza). Aside from the food, the atmosphere was great, there was live Hispanic music. It was almost like we were in Mexico (even though we were eating pizza). I couldn't have had a better experience either at that restaurant or a different one. I will definitely be visiting this location each and every time I'm in the Miami area. Nevertheless, I can't think of a better place where you can have your cake (Mexican atmosphere) and eat it too (good food). 130/10...
