I’ve been to many Korean restaurants from all over the States, and this one is most likely the best one I’ve been to. First of all, it is owned and run by a Korean couple, meaning you’ll get served by the wife of the chef, and the chef will be the one preparing the dishes inside the kitchen. He even brought our our LA Galbi. What makes this place different is the way they present the food; there are not hot grills on the table, which I am all for. NO ONE has time to leave dinner smelling like Korean BBQ, and why risk burning your own food when the can do it perfectly in the kitchen. The seafood pancake came on a sizzling hot pan, and the bottom was a little toasty adding unbelievable texture. I have never had this anywhere before, but it was life changing. The LA Galbi was also so incredibly tender, and in a really great amount. For the portion and taste, I have Never had it so good before, ever. The only way to believe me is for you to give it a try and see for yourself. Trust me…you will have the best Korean BBQ of your life.
5/5 Japchae $18.99 Was done perfectly with large slices of beef; most places you’re getting beef pieces which is never desirable.
5/5 Haemul Pajeon Seafood Pancake $18.99 Came on a sizzling platter, which I have never seen before; nice semi crunchy texture on the bottom of the pancake with is a really nice addition to this common dish.
5/5 Corn Cheese $9.99 Your basic corn and cheese…very good.
5/5 Jjajang Myeon $18.99 Classic Black bean noodles…noodles were done just right, very fresh.
5/5 Soondubu Jjigae $18.99 Really flavorful stew with tofu.
5/5 Tteokbokki $15.99 Delcious rice sticks in spicy sauce...a really nice chewy texture. Yummy!
10/5 LA Galbi $35.99 Yes…a 10 out of 5! These short ribs were do tender and so flavorful…and so bountiful too! Most places give you a small portion, and yes…it’s $36.00 but so well worth it. A definite must try. I’ll be trying the other Galbi’s on the menu very soon to see the difference.
My new favorite Korean BBQ place for all the reasons you read about. You don’t need to stuff yourself at an AYCE because you’ll spend less here. This amount for for 7 people and we were all full afterwards. Really...
Read moreI’m very sad writing this review because I’ve been here on multiple occasions and absolutely loved the food. However, this time around, it was horrible.
When walking in, there was no one to seat us, so we sat ourselves. The waitress came by, brought us menus, then disappeared for 15 minutes, turns out she was sitting on the opposite side of the restaurant just stalling. That’s okay, as we normally have patience.
I ordered the dolsot bimbimbap with TOFU as I am vegetarian. After a while of waiting with no water nor utensils, I finally got my meal. My bimbimbap had BEEF in it.. totally fine.. just remake it and it’s all good. They took it back and brought me the bimbimbap with tofu, however it was the same one they brought me to begin with and they literally SCOOPED the beef from previous and added tofu.. there was beef juice and beef pieces in my bowl. I didn’t complain because when I asked for water the waitress with the glasses sighed when I called her over, didn’t want to make her more upset. Not to mention they include a included tip at the end of the meal, I tip no matter what, but service was horrible and I find it despicable to replace BEEF with TOFU instead of remaking it or taking that portion of the rice out completely and adding fresh rice and tofu.
This is dangerous because what if I was allergic to beef?
Not to mention, the young ladies were NOT wearing their masks whatsoever when we came in.. but when older adults came in, they put their masks on immediately and attended to them quickly.
Really upsetting because I used to love this place. Please do...
Read moreI really wanted to try Korean BBQ and did a quick Yelp search to try and find one. This place had the best reviews and the food looked delicious. Due to the crazy weather here as of late, I ordered my food as take-out so that I could make it back home before the rain started.
I ordered the bulgogi beef because it was something that I'd been wanting to try. So I got the Bulgogi Set because I wanted all of the extras. With the set you got the beef, rice, side dishes (sides of the day) and choice of jjigae. The Bulgogi beef itself was a little too sweet for my taste buds but still good. I opted for the kimchi jjigae and honey I could eat that by itself. It was so delicious. I loved that it had tofu in it. I don't know exactly what the sides were but all of it was delicious especially what I predict is fried tofu stripes.
I also ordered fried pork dumplings. They could have been fried a little harder but what still delicious. I will definitely be back. I want to try some of the...
