I recently had the pleasure of trying the paella, rabo encendido, and wine at Las Vegas, and I must say it was a truly a delightful experience. The paella was perfectly cooked, with a mouth-watering combination of saffron-infused rice and fresh seafood. The rabo encendido was a real standout dish, with tender oxtail slow-cooked to perfection in a rich, flavorful sauce. And to top it all off, the wine selection was top-notch, with a variety of options to suit every palate.
The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely, with soft lighting, murals of Cuba, and fabulous classic Latin Music. I especially enjoyed Gloria Estefan, Mi Tierra, which I requested and was indulged with.. It made for a truly enjoyable dining experience. The staff was friendly and attentive and informed me about their specials and wine specials.
Overall, I highly recommend Las Vegas for anyone looking for a Classic Cuban experience. The paella, rabo encendido, and wine were all outstanding, and the service is always exceptional. I usually visit the Pembroke Pines location on University Drive where you’ll find Maria and Jorge who are always very kind and attentive. The owner is sometimes there too and she is lovely as well. She most likely cherry picks staff as if she was adopting them into their family. Great Customer service is rare these days. However, you can expect to find it here! If you're in the area, make sure to stop by and treat yourself to a truly unforgettable experience...
Read moreJust ate here and ordered 3 meals. We asked for two sides of shrimp for $5.95 to add with our main courses. When we got the bill our server Gian Franco charged us for two full meals of the shrimp for $37. Mind you we specifically asked for SIDES. If he was charging us full portion why didn’t he bring rice and beans with it? Why would 3 people order 5 main courses? We politely called him back to the table to tell him about the mistake. We weren’t looking for it to be removed. We simply wanted to be charged the correct amount. At no point did we get angry, upset or showed annoyance because we simply thought he made a minor mistake that could have been easily fixed by changing the price to the side order pricing of $5.95. At this point we wouldn’t have even been upset if they charged us for one full price and offered rice and beans to go. It took him and his manager 10 minutes to fix the check. Upon fixing the check they went into our take out bag and removed the shrimp container that we had left overs of. I have never been to an establishment that goes into a customers take out bag to remove a container of food that WAS EATEN simply due to their mistake. I work in the restaurant industry and this was by far one of the worst experiences I have encountered. What are you going to even do with the eaten food? Serve it to someone else? Do not go here as you will be mislead, charged extra and disrespected by staff who cannot properly...
Read moreReview of Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine - North State 7, Hollywood, Florida
I recently visited Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine on North State 7, and while the restaurant has potential, there are several issues that need urgent attention.
The place looks old and neglected. Both the tables and the floor were sticky, giving off an impression of poor cleanliness. Even with sneakers, it’s easy to slip while walking, which is both dangerous and unpleasant for customers.
As for the food, there were mixed experiences. The garlic bread was too soft and lacked the toasted texture you would expect, and the tostones were not crispy at all. On the bright side, the chicken soup was quite good, showing that there is quality in some dishes.
The service was the best part of the visit. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive, which definitely improved the experience, but it doesn’t entirely make up for the cleanliness issues and some shortcomings with the food.
It’s disappointing to see a place with Cuban tradition and great service overshadowed by a greasy and unclean environment. With proper cleaning and more attention to detail in the kitchen, this restaurant could be...
