Me and family came to this racist place for the first time to celebrate my mothers and her friend birthday! We first walked in and went to the bar to be seated but we opted out to get vip because there wasn’t enough room at the bar for 5 of us! We then opted in to the vip section to order bottle service because between the 5 of us we would spend about $300+ eating & drinking anyway! Before we were escorted to be sat down we all went over the bottle menu and prices and we chose Ciroc that was priced at $160. After we chose our bottle the waitress took us to our section and went over the food menu! We then ordered food and hookah!
So the food starts to come out and everyone is eating and is ready to drink! Because as stated we were here to celebrate birthdays! We waited for the bottle to come out but it never did after continuously asking the waitress! She kept asking what mixers we wanted etc etc as if she was going to bring it out! We asked 6 times for the bottle and the last time we asked the waitress finally stated that we had to pay for it in advance!
So we all looking dumb at each other like WTH! We sat in this place for a hour and nobody communicated that to us when opting in for the vip section! We asked for the owner or whatever he was and he came out very unconcerned and very dismissive towards us as if they had discussed already that “WE” were to pay for the bottle in advance! I hate to say it but we def were discriminated as if we didn’t have money and we weren’t going to pay for the bottle! There were 3 parties in vip that got there after us and received bottle service before us! The food was bland and very mediocre! I’ve had better oxtails in Atlanta! Every appetizer had no taste what so ever! We were a bit confused at the music they were playing bc everyone was POC but come to find out it def was a Haitian owned establishment! Worst experience ever and they a never get another penny from us !!
Word of advice is to be careful how you treat people coming to support your establishment because you never know who they are and who they...
Read moreDo something about the music. It is way too loud for a lounge. You guys were the loudest in the block, and it’s not a good thing. You need to figure out if you want to have a lounge or a night club. It’s impossible to carry a conversation in there or even order food and drinks with ease. The servers couldn’t hear us and we couldn’t hear them. We had a table of over 10 to celebrate a birthday party. After reading reviews, we called to inquire about the music loudness because we had two children including a baby. We were assured to get a table away from the music. Instead, we were placed right in front of the DJ and a speaker. Luckily for ya’ll, I had to go find parking and wasn’t the one that secured the table or I would have walked right out. The only reason why I remained in there for an extended period of time was because many people from our party had already ordered drinks and food when I got inside. When we realize that we wouldn’t be able to carry any conversation but just stared at each other due to the insanely loud music and DJ and how traumatized the baby was, we decided to ask the server to bring our food to go and left. Also, why your security guy wouldn’t let two members of our party in despite them telling him we already had a table and they gave him the name? I found them outside and he tried to do the same to me, but I told him no because we already have a table waiting for us; then he proceeded to make me go show my table before he would let us in. Ya’ll need to do better with that arrangement. The fact that many other reviews and to include your servers have said something about the music , but you guys have not made any changes show how much you guys do not care about your customers. The only way I return back there or recommend it to anyone is if you guys make a change...
Read moreFirst time customer: Referred by a friend. Will never come back again. Restaurant chef tried to hustle us. We came during the weekly weekday lunch special (12-4) on a Friday. We were handed menus in which the lunch special weren’t included so I asked my waitress about it in which she then asked the manager on duty Chef Kompa and he told her no. So I did my research to verify before making a scene. Once I confirmed what I knew I called him over to show him what they have advertised on their IG; his reasoning was it’s only available on the the day they post it HOWEVER the posting clearly says Tues-Fri and it’s also listed on food delivery services. He then made it seem like it was an error of someone at the business and behaved like he was doing my family a favor by HONORING their post/price. That experience ruined our total family outing that we no longer wanted to eat there. It’s not about the money BUT the entire principle of it all. Do not treat ppl unfavorably because we don’t share the same dialect. Honor what you offer. Conduct business with integrity and truth. I am a foodie/food critic/vlogger and love trying out small/local and particularly black owned restaurants. I have never experienced this type of service at Greg’s Cookout (another fellow Haitian restaurant). This location must be mindful of the actions and how they service their guess you never know who they are or connections they have. I knew once he kept talking to be in creole he was testing how I would be serviced. I’m not new to this. I’m also from the Caribbean and know how they hustle game goes once discovered you’re a ”foreigner” let this be lesson. Next time I won’t be as graceful. Social media mixed with poor management can make or break...
