If you noted in the few reviews this place has gotten. The votes are split. Asians love this place. Non-asians don't. So far. The Boba Culture is something unique to Asia. Asians love it and there is no equivalency with any thing you know. First of all, when I walk into a Latino establishment, I am treated with indifference because I don't speak Spanish. They rather not bother with the fact that I may require them to actually know some English so we can communicate. But that is wishful thinking. So don't judge an establishment with their product unless you come from an experience predicated on knowledge and not anecdotal. THE TEA HERE IS GOOD!!!!. It is not Ten Ren. The selection of Yasmine, Oolong, Black, Green and various others are brewed well, but are not intense because it is also for kids. If you expect intense tea, wipe your mind, this is not the tea culture you perceive. This is not a millennial experience where you are all-knowing. Would you comment your like or dislike of coca cola flavor? It's always the same, the only variable at fast food places who add good water bad water less or more syrup. If you have no idea what I am speaking about. Learn more about the culture and you may choose it is not for you. But that does not mean you should belittle what you don't know. Service expectations among Asians is definitively different. We want good stuff!!! If he happens to be inexperienced, rude or whatever, that usually means the food is good!!! I can tell you about various food venues in Hialeah where the service is terrible and the food is garbage.
To reiterate. THIS TEA PLACE IS GOOD!!! It is not Ten Ren - I said that already - Good tea, good selection, large portions, quality, EXCELLENT BOBA!!!! I like the fancy cups.... Try the salt and pepper chicken...Chinese style chicken nuggets with a lot of flavor, made from fresh chunked chicken meat, breaded and fried. It is a typical snack in Boba establishments throughout Asia. Wish they had some of those rice and noodle dishes as well. But no matter.
The prices are consistent with the norm. What can I say, Asians like good food, ambiance be damned. That's why there are night markets all over Asia. Wow thinking about it makes me salivate.
South Florida you got lucky!!! A boba tea place worth its mettle to be in New York or LA. But...
Read moreLet’s talk about review: There are basically 2 factors that make a place a great place to go, 1st. the product on its own and 2nd. The customer service. The location is relative, as it is always your option to drive miles to get WHAT YOU WANT. Last night my husband and I went to get a drink and we chose tea plus, which is far from us, but after reading the reviews, it seems like a nice place. I called to place the order in advance (9:03 pm) and the person who answered my call asked to place the order online because it was too busy to take orders over the phone. 1st. red flag. But we were halfway there. Disregarding the fact that the parking was absolutely chaotic and unconventional, where we couldn't find a parking space, we were already there. I entered at 9:16pm. I ordered my 2 bubble teas at 9:22 pm. The place is small and crowded. {Apparently no one is concerned with the pandemic social distancing} I waited for my drink to be served till 10:10 pm, after the manager jumped over my order of 2 drinks to work on an order for the people behind me who ordered over 6 drinks. {The customers apologized to me for the mistake / made by the manager) LOL I understand that the unexpected happens in business, but I disagree that waiting 50 minutes for 2 drinks made out of ice and powder, which taste like ice watery flavored, IS A NORM. When I questioned the manager as to why she passed over on my order, placing the next major order, exactly like mine. She argued with a lame excuse. At no time did she apologize for the 50 minutes of waiting or for purposely pass on my order. Clearly her costumers aren't the priority in her business. My first and last time there. _ Poor management _ Poor customer service _ Poor product quality Terrible parking place. Major...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this tea shop for yeaaaars. I don’t come as I much as I used to due to the parking issues so when I do come it’s a whole thing.
The drinks are always on point! A little pricey for the drink to ice ratio. My issue is the service. Tim/Tin (i didnt hear the name properly) took our orders and everything was okay. My issue was when after I asked him if they give out cup water. He spoke to me as if I was in the way and threw up his hands letting me know that I was clearly bothering him. I do think he misunderstood me because I asked him if he gave out cup waters, I didnt ask him to drop everything to get me the water. His attitude really rubbed me and my family the wrong way cause we just asked him a simple question not demanding to do anything so when he gave us that reaction I told him whenever he can it wasn’t the issue. So, the bottomline is that his attitude was inappropriate and that’s not how you speak to customers. I worked in customer service for many years and that is not how you speak to your paying customers who come out of their way to give you business. I dont think...
